At first, it's very difficult for Matthew, because his most recent memory of his father from the present is his father's death. Since Diana is a witch, and vampires and witches are forbidden to marry, Philippe refuses to acknowledge Matthew as being mated to Diana.

Nope. The bad news is that A Discovery of Witches will end with Season 3. The good news is that means that the show will cover all three books in Deborah Harkness's All Souls Trilogy. So we will get the canonical end of Diana and Matthew's story.

Louisa de Clermont was Ysabeau de Clermont's vampiric daughter and sister to Matthew de Clermont. Like Matthew, she suffered from blood rage. She was killed in Barbados, when local plantation owners seized the opportunity of a rebellion to cover up their deed.
The practice of bundling in the series comes from the ancient tradition that involves two people essentially being “bundled' together on a bed, fully clothed. It's intended to create intimacy between a couple without them actually having sex, and it was the first intimate moment for Matthew and Diana.
She liaises with Peter Knox to send Diana a photo of her parents threatening her not to keep secrets. This act of aggression results in her death at the hands of Matthew de Clermont in early November.
