Click on the tweet to open it up. Underneath the tweet itself, you should see how many retweets it has and how many likes it has. This will be above the line with the symbols for options like reply or retweet or like and the half-a-box one with the up arrow.
In some cases, if you liked a Retweet, the person who retweeted the original tweet will also see a notification. There's a “Likes” tab right there, which anyone can click in order to see every single tweet you've liked. That's right: anyone who wants to can scroll through every tweet you've ever liked.
HIDING YOUR LIKES FROM OTHERS
Log in to Twitter and click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the home screen. Choose “Settings.” Go to the “Security and privacy” tab. Scroll down to find the “Privacy” section and tick the box next to the “Protect my Tweets” option. To get immediate access to Twitter without an account, just go directly to Twitter's search page (see Resources for link). If you type a name or a word about what you're looking for in the search field, you will begin seeing tweets right away.
On Twttr, the number of likes, retweets and replies a tweet has received is not immediately displayed. They haven't completely disappeared, but they are now “behind a tap”, meaning you have to actually click on a tweet to engage with if before you can see how many likes, retweets and replies it has received.
This means their activities on Twitter can only be seen by their followers, and this not only includes the tweets that they post, but also their engagement with other tweets. Another reason may be that those “hidden” accounts may also have blocked you from seeing their Twitter activities, for some reason.
The lowest number historically required to get verification on Twitter is 4, and the current lowest I've been able to find is under 600. I'm sure if you dig around you can find someone with less, as well. When a user is verified, they receive a direct message from Twitter's official, verified @verified account.
Important: Please note that our verified account program is currently on hold. We are not accepting any new requests at this time. The blue verified badge on Twitter lets people know that an account of public interest is authentic.
You can apply to be Twitter verified and receive a blue checkmark badge next to your name. To become verified on Twitter, you simply update your profile with current information, verify a phone number and email address, then fill out a form requesting consideration as a verified user.
Ugh. Still, the app is good. But the biggest reason why it's no threat to TweetDeck is that it's clearly meant for casual Twitter users, while TweetDeck is for power users. TweetDeck lets you arrange your Twitter streams in a row of columns for specific people, searches, hashtags, lists, etc.
Yeah, basically anything you do on twitter takes 10 seconds or so to register it into the mix. If you unlike something, it'll also take about 10 seconds for those notifications to disappear if they were ever sent.
No, Twitter Is Not Completely Removing Likes And Retweets — But Here's Why It's Hiding Them. Yesterday, Twitter users reacted mostly negatively to the widely-reported news that the social media app was looking at removing engagement metrics from tweets.
Scroll down to the "Settings" option and click. Click on the tab labeled "Privacy and safety". Scroll down to the privacy section, then check the "Protect my Tweets" box to make your account private. Scroll down to the bottom of the settings page, and click on "Save changes".
Tap or click on the Retweet icon.
This will "undo", or remove the retweet you made from your profile, so that neither you nor other users will see it on their Twitter feeds. This will not delete the original tweet from the user's timeline. If your account is public (as is by default), anyone can see your tweets, irrespective of whether they are following you. No, they can not see your tweets in the news feed. They can only see your tweet if they go to your page and read down through your tweets.
