Idols SA season 12 winner crowned. Johannesburg – After a gruelling competition and a record breaking season with over 83 million votes cast the winner of Idols SA season 12 has been announced. The grand finale took place at Carnival City where Noma Khumalo was crowned as the winner during a spectacular live show.
Four days later, Idols announced that, after discussion between M-Net and FremantleMedia (the format owners), Jason Hartman and Sasha Lee Davids were declared winners. They both received identical full prizes. This was the first time a win was shared on an Idol show.
Cape Town - Gallo Records has confirmed that season 12 Idols SA winner, Noma Khumalo is no longer with the label. "Noma was released by Gallo from her recording contract in February this year. She has not been a Gallo recording artist for over 9 months. Everything with Gallo ended amicably," he said.

Noma Khumalo certainly ended 2016 on high note – winning the 12th season of IDOLS SA and releasing her debut album 'Joy' just a few weeks after. She kicks off 2017 with her brand new second single 'Moving On' taken from her debut album, collaborating with one of SA's top producers Sketchy Bongo.
