Harris County EZ Tags began working on Dallas-area TollTag lanes last month, giving the more than 1.2 million Houston-area tag holders access to the Dallas North Tollway, the President George Bush Turnpike, the Addison Airport Toll Tunnel and the Mountain Creek Lake Bridge.
On the Dallas North Tollway, you can pay cash, so if you don't have a TollTag you must pay cash, and if you don't pay cash you'll be billed for the tolls plus the $25 fees. But you can't pay cash.

Any vehicle that enters the airport pays a fee, whether it's locals picking up passengers, ride-share drivers or those who park there. Drivers that stay from 0 to 8 minutes pay $4, while those on the property 8 to 30 minutes only pay $2. For those remaining on-site between 30 minutes and 2 hours, it's $3.
A daily rountrip on the Sam Rayburn Tollway (State Hwy 121) from I-35E to US 75 Central costs $7.58 after the July 1 rate hike. That's about $38.00 a week with a Toll Tag; $50.00 with Zip Cash.

The North Texas Tollway Authority is raising toll rates by about a penny per mile. The average cost of driving on Dallas-Fort Worth toll roads and using a windshield TollTag to pay electronically will be 18.01 cents, up from 17.06 cents. Drivers who use toll roads but don't have TollTags pay about 50 percent more.
Rates for each segment will be based on a price of 17.7 cents per mile for two-axle vehicles. It will cost $7.19 to drive from I-10 to I-45 (about 40 miles) and $2.49 to drive between I-45 and U.S.

This segment of US 75 North Central Expressway is the main non-tolled north- south route between North Dallas and Plano; it was reconstructed in the 1980s. It is a major commuter route to the employment centers in Richardson. Road Type: 8-lane freeway.
TxTag, EZ TAG, TollTag, K-TAG, and PIKEPASS are all accepted on the I-35 TEXpress Lanes. Drivers without a toll tag are charged higher rates.

In Texas, a driver's vehicle registration gets blocked for failure to pay toll bills. If you fail to show up in court over the disputed fines or unpaid bill, you could eventually face jail.
In the 2017 fiscal year, NTTA generated $762 million in revenue, and $582.7 million went to maintenance, operations and paying debts, according to Rey.

Under this contract, you agree to pay the toll and any administrative costs associated with collecting the toll if it remains unpaid. However, you may negotiate with the toll operator to reduce or remove the administrative fees.
The highway is owned by the State of Texas and is operated by the SH 130 Concession Company.
Texas' toll roads began as public entities, but in 2003, amid shortfalls in transportation funding, a state law was passed allowing new and existing ones to enter public-private partnerships.
