Bondhus and Eklind are the best US brands (I have heard Eklind is the OEM for Snap-On hex wrenches). For non-US brands, Wera and PB swiss are the best, but these are quite a bit more expensive than US brands. My Snap-On allen wrenches have held up very well. 5 years in aircraft maintenance.

A Torx head can actually accept more torque for a given size bolt than a hex head as long as the proper torx bit is used in conjunction with the bolt! It's the same principle as a philips head screw as opposed to a slot head. The torx pattern has more bearing surface area to spread the torque force over.
Screwdrivers
Sometimes you can use small types of flathead screwdrivers as a hex wrench by putting the end in the socket so that the two edges of the screwdriver work as leverage in the hole to turn it. The wider the socket on the bolt or nut, the wider the flathead screwdriver you will want to use.Long answer: While a torx pounded into a rounded out hex works very in a pinch, you be substituting. thats just lazy. No need to pound, just get a torx SOCKET that can slip over the hex nut or head.
These keys come in four types.
Not having a short arm restricts use in places where access is limited. Sliding T handle: We can slide the metal bar that forms the handle from side to side. Plastic T handle without short arm: Plastic T handle hex have large handles that we can turn with both hands. Most Allen wrenches have the size stamped clearly on the side of the tiny, angled tool. The inch or millimeter size may have rubbed off with use or may be entirely too small to read. Imperial to Metric for Allen Keys
For instance, Metric size 9 mm doesn't have an imperial counterpart. In a case like this, you're only option is to just upgrade to a separate metric hex key set.The ball end makes it easier to slide the key into the receiving slot. It allows you to reach at an offset 30 degree angle so that you can feel your way to the needed position much faster - great for blind or difficult areas to reach or if the bolt or screw is close to an obstruction on one side.
