'Vampire Diaries' Daniel Gillies: 'Elijah is in love with Elena' Daniel Gillies has said that Elijah is in love with Elena on The Vampire Diaries. The 35-year-old revealed that he hopes the Original vampire will express his feelings for Elena (Nina Dobrev) at some point on the CW series.
Klaus is a product of all the things he made for the people he loved and yet they judged him. Of course he is evil. Only because he suffered doesn't mean he is excused for everyone he killed. Stefan flogged himself for the evil he'd done and even resorted to drinking only animal blood.
Although his brother Klaus might technically be stronger — Klaus is half vampire, half werewolf — Elijah is the most powerful. Other traits to note: He is level-headed. He had planned and prepared for her survival after he met her and realized that he loved her. Elijah helps Klaus escape, betraying Elena and his promise to her.
Elijah does not seem to agree and Elena threatens to kill herself and become a vampire, just like Katherine did, something the will make her useless for him. Elijah freaks out, accepts the deal and asks her to let him heal her. When he gets close enough, Elena stabs him with the dagger and Elijah falls dead.
Elijah continues to stay true to his word even though Damon and Stefan can't shake or hide their dislike or distrust of the Original brother, Elijah saves Damon's life for a third time, making him far more trustworthy than the Salvatores who are as capable as fighting dirty as their enemies.
Caroline informed Tyler that when an Original is killed, every vampire turned from their bloodline ends up dying, too, and admitted that the Salvatore brothers were planning on killing Klaus as soon as they confirmed whether or not he had sired them, which would result in Tyler's death.
Oddly, he was staked in the heart, even though he wasn't a vampire. Alaric and Meredith Damon is suspicious of her ties to the murder of her ex-boyfriend Brian Walters. Damon makes a follow up visit to the hospital and accuses Meredith of being a murderer. She vervains him, and takes his blood.
Alaric stakes Klaus' body with the magically reinforced white oak stake, leaving everyone to believe Klaus died. Thus, everyone gets all worried they are going to die too because Klaus told Damon and Stefan he created their bloodline.
Later, Klaus is staked by Alaric, and it is then assumed that Katherine, Damon, Stefan, Caroline, Tyler and Abby will die. However, Bonnie took action before he was staked, and told Tyler that if Klaus possessed him, and if [Klaus' body] was staked, that the others wouldn't die, only Tyler would.
Meredith Fell is a doctor and member of the Town Council. She used vampire blood to heal her patients at the hospital. She became Alaric's love interest and after his death, she married a pediatrician and moved to Alaska.
Alaric became an Enhanced Original Vampire through Esther's magic so he could kill her children with the last, and indestructible, White Oak Stake, to make the vampire species extinct before his death, his life having been linked to Elena's. This lead Rebekah to kill her to stop Alaric.
Klaus asks Caroline to leave with him, but she refuses. Tyler promises Caroline that he will take care of her and later on, she rushes to the Lockwood cellar, crying because Klaus is assumed dead and Tyler will die as well, being sired to him. Unknown to her, Tyler has been possessed by Klaus because of Bonnie's spell.
While trying to save Damon from Tripp Cooke, Alaric was pulled into the magic purification zone over Mystic Falls. He temporarily died from the stab wound that killed him before his transition, when the magic that made him an Enhanced Original was stripped from his body.

Katherine makes an appearance and forces Jeremy to feed Silas in order get the cure that is fossilized with his body. Silas ends up draining Jeremy's body and breaks his neck, killing him. After much denial, Elena realizes that Jeremy is truly dead.
In the season finale, Jeremy gets shot by Sheriff Forbes after a lengthy speech about how his family ring protects him from all supernatural harm — well, bullets aren't supernatural and so, he dies BY ACCIDENT.
He is weary of Silas because Silas could resurrect all of their enemies from over the centuries. So he knew about Silas. The ironic part is the spell Esther used to turned her children into originals , was the same spell used to turn Silas into an immortal.
But he's objectively a terrible person, and he's even pretty bad for a vampire sometimes. When he's contrasted with Damon it's easy for him to act like he's the "good brother", but Stefan is actually almost more manipulative and cunning than Damon is.
