When Klaus attacked Alaric, Alaric quickly managed to beat and throw Klaus around though the former was able to hold him to a stalemate when they grappled for the White Oak Stake. Alaric was slightly faster than Original vampires, and was of similar speed to the Original hybrid.
Although his brother Klaus might technically be stronger — Klaus is half vampire, half werewolf — Elijah is the most powerful. Other traits to note: He is level-headed. He is beyond elegant with his words (and pronounces Elena “E-lenaâ€). He's so powerful that he's feared even though we've yet to see his fangs.
Damon kills Elijah with a stake through his heart. When Damon tried to save Stefan from losing his head, he staked Elijah. Later, Elijah came back to life and pulled the stake out of himself.
For pretty much all of Klaus' vampire life, Mikael was the only man who was physically capable of fighting Klaus, who actually had the drive and determination to kill him, and most importantly had the only weapon that could actually kill Klaus.
Werewolves are mortal and age just like humans while vampires don't age and are immortal (except for some things that can kill them like sunlight and garlic).

Alaric is not as skilled or possesses the same levels of strength as Mikael. I'm sure Alaric would give Klaus some difficulty when fighting but Klaus would eventually win in the end because he would use his full powers in order to keep himself alive and his siblings, mostly his life though.

Lucien even proved to be much stronger than Klaus, the Original hybrid, during their confrontations. They are quite possibly the fastest known creatures as Lucien was able to dodge Klaus' attacks effortlessly.
Hope is more powerful than Klaus, who was supposed to be the most powerful creature. Hey, I love Hope, we all do. But a Werewolf/Vampire hybrid was always really hyped up to be OP and so powerful that nature deemed to be an imbalance of power.
