Obi-Wan did in fact remember R2D2 after the little smirk he gave after seeing him in ANH when he rescued Luke from the sand people. C3PO had his memory erased so he doesn't remember at all.
The original actor who played Anakin in this scene (Sebastian Shaw) was replaced by Hayden Christensen, the actor who played Anakin in Episodes II and III. There was no "young Anakin" when the Return of the Jedi was made, so putting an actor in there other than Sebastian Shaw would make no sense.
Vader learned that Leia was his daughter by sensing it from Luke at the end of Return of the Jedi. Vader learned about Luke after he sent Boba to capture Luke alive, but Luke escaped and Boba only managed to learn his name: Skywalker.
Anakin's father is The Emperor. Palpatine manipulated the Midi-chlorians inside of Shmi's womb to create Anakin.
Computer generated imagery (CGI) barely existed in 1977, and Lucas and his team went on to transform the visual effects industry and set the new standard for the years to come. For the 1977 Episode IV: A New Hope release, Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) was formed.
The three movies were shown in the U.S. from January through March at a monthly interval. A New Hope was released on January 31, 1997, followed by The Empire Strikes Back on February 21, 1997.
In an interview event Lucas did with none other than Christensen, he explained changing Anakin's appearance in Return of the Jedi. For Lucas, it stemmed from the idea that Anakin died (metaphorically speaking) after he turned to the dark side and became Darth Vader.
Speed. Thanks to George Lucas' love of cars, auto racing, and by extension, speed, A New Hope would offer starships that were thrilling in a whole new way. The Millennium Falcon, X-wings, TIE fighters, and more of the movie's craft were all fast. They could dive, zig and zag, and spin.
Many critics say that Jar Jar is a Black or more specifically Jamaican racist stereotype. His accent and physical traits help to perpetuate this criticism. Many say that the dragon wing ears look similar to dreadlocks.

Originally, Jabba was not a giant, slug-like alien, but merely a large man in a strange, furry suit; as a result, a CGI Jabba and new dialogue in Huttese were added to the shot. But the original blocking didn't account for Jabba's tail, and so in the added scene, Han steps on Jabba's tail as he walks around the Hutt.
Star Wars fundamentally changed the aesthetics and narratives of Hollywood films, switching the focus of Hollywood-made films from deep, meaningful stories based on dramatic conflict, themes and irony to sprawling special-effects-laden blockbusters, as well as changing the Hollywood film industry in fundamental ways.
Overall, in my personal opinion, The Last Jedi is both a good Star Wars movie and just a good movie in general. If there's any film in the Disney sequel trilogy that is legitimately a bad movie, it's the third entry. But that's a story for another day.
Starting with Episode IV meant throwing audiences into the world of Star Wars with little context. Even the first movie references events like the Clone Wars that would not come into play until the prequels were made, so the prequel movies became necessary after Star Wars gained its massive popularity.
Taking it beyond some 'hokey religion', The Last Jedi explores the Force more meaningfully than any previous entry in the series. Introducing new powers like Force projection and 'Forcetime', Last Jedi also offers us the franchise's most clear-cut understanding of what the Force actually is.
Roger Ebert cited it as such, saying Empire Strikes Back is more “thought-provoking” and noting “it is because of the emotions stirred in 'Empire' that the entire series takes on a mythic quality that resonates back to the first and ahead to the third. This is the heart.”
approximately three years
The Empire Strikes Back is merely one half of the story, and you're going to have to see Return of the Jedi to witness its conclusion. After losing the duel, his hand, and his mind, Luke throws himself from the balcony where he fought Vader and manages to grab hold of an antenna before falling to oblivion.

Empire Strikes Back is an absolute masterpiece, simple as that. This was the moment where Star Wars went from potential one-hit-wonder to a franchise that will be around until the end of time, even if subsequent films will be hard-pressed to top the drama and intrigue of this stunning achievement.

Unfortunately, Lucas has proven decidedly stubborn about not re-releasing the theatrical versions of the films, leaving it up to enterprising enthusiasts to do something about it. While a fan-made "Despecialized" Star Wars does exist, it's not exactly legal to watch.
The U.S. Library of Congress made the original release of Star Wars available to watch in person. 2019: The original and prequel films, along with The Force Awakens and Rogue One, were released in 4K resolution on Disney's streaming service, Disney+.
Star Wars' original versions of the first trilogy will never be released again. And director JJ Abrams isn't too pleased.
Currently, no. There are no official plans for the original versions to come to Amazon or iTunes. However, as is often the case in the Star Wars fandom, there have been rumors that the original versions may be coming to streaming soon. The most recent rumor has come from the respected fan site Making Star Wars.
Silver is a restoration project based off of a single 35mm film print of the original movie that's taken Negative1 over four years to create, according to a lengthy interview over at Movie Mezzanine.
The goal of Project #4K77 is simply to create a version of the 1977 Pre-Special Edition version of Star Wars, that will look good on a 4K Television or monitor. Most of the source material is 35mm film scanned at 4K, processed at 4K and rendered at 4K.
Project 4K77/ 4K83 is an extensive fan restoration made from several 35mm film prints and is hands down the highest quality version available for A New Hope and Return of the Jedi.
