Alcohol is not allowed into Jones Beach and they patrol the beach to enforce this rule. If you do have alcohol, you can be asked to leave the beach and even ticketed.
To reach Jones Beach, take the New York subway (map) to 34th Street/Penn Station in Manhattan. From Penn Station, take the Long Island Rail Road to Freeport. Long Island Rail Road trains are frequent and cheap. (Yes, that's how they spell railroad.)
All Blue Angels air shows are canceled through May 17 to avoid the spread of the new coronavirus, the Blue Angels announced on its Facebook page last week. Over these next two months, your Blue Angels team will remain focused and ready to return to the 2020 show season.
If you are interested in aviation, sooner or later there will come a day when you will want to take your children with you to an airshow. If you have young children, a stroller or wagon is a must. There is a lot of ground to cover at these shows and the kids will tire quickly.
Some run for two days, a full 8 to 10 hours the first day, and 6 to 8 hours the second day. The air shows I've always been to are full day events. The amount of time the guys working them have to stay depend on what they are doing.

The Air Show is free admission, so you can leave and return. However, each time you enter the parking lot, you will need to pay for parking. Aerial performances begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. Sunday is a repeat of performances on Saturday.

The Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce Dayton Air Show Parade is Friday, June 26th. While the parade officially steps off at 7 p.m., preparation begins as early as 3 p.m. and can create traffic congestion in the parade staging area.
