The app drawer. For those not familiar with Android terminology, the home screen is where app icons can be optionally placed when installed, along with any widgets or shortcuts. The app drawer is an icon present on the home screen that opens up a list of every application installed on the phone.
How to hide apps on your Android phone
- Long-tap on any empty space on your home screen.
- In the bottom right corner, tap the button for home screen settings.
- Scroll down on that menu and tap "Hide apps."
- In the menu that pops up, select any apps you want to hide, then tap "Apply."
Unhide hidden apps by re-enabling them in the device settings.
- Press the “Menu" key and then tap the “Settings†icon to open device Settings menu.
- Tap the “More†option and then tap the “Application Manager†option.
- Swipe left or right to view the “All Applications†screen, if needed.
Open the File Manager. Next, tap Menu > Settings.Scroll to the Advanced section, and toggle the Show hidden files option to ON: You should now be able to easily access any files that you'd previously set as hidden on your device.
How to Find Hidden Files on Android
- Open your File Manager.
- Click "Menu," and then "Settings."
- Scroll to the "Advanced" section, and enable "Show hidden files."
- Then, all of the hidden files will be viewable and accessible.
- Go to the Gallery app on your Android device.
- Click on the "Gallery Menu."
- Choose "Settings."
How to Find Hidden Apps in the App Drawer
- From the app drawer, tap the three dots in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Tap Hide apps.
- The list of apps that are hidden from the app list displays. If this screen is blank or the Hide apps option is missing, no apps are hidden.
From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon. Find and tap Settings > Apps. Tap the menu button (three vertical dots) or press the Menu key, then tap Reset app preferences. Tap RESET APPS.
- Locate the file manager and open it.
- Go to all files', open the menu, and got to settings.
- In the settings, locate Show hidden files'
- Select this option and you should be able to find everything that is hidden.
Your device may have a launcher that can set apps to be hidden. Usually, you bring up the app launcher, then select “Menu†( or ). From there, you might be able to unhide apps. The options will vary depending on your device or launcher app.
To show or enable preloaded apps you have hidden, follow these steps:
- From the Settings menu, touch Manage apps.
- Touch the All tab.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the list to find the app you wish to enable.
- Touch the app name.
- Touch the Enable button.
- Touch the Home key to return to the Home screen.
Introduced at WWDC 2020, Apple's iOS answer to Android's app drawer makes its debut in iOS 14. It's called App Library and works by gathering all your apps inside folders to make it easier to find the apps you want without endless swiping between screens.
The first thing you'll need to do is jump into the Settings menu. Pull the notifications shade twice, then tap the cog icon. From there, navigate down to “Apps,†then hit the cog icon in that menu. - Long press on the home screen (tap on it without releasing for 2 sec)
- Tap on the desktop settings.

Reset your Android phone to the default launcher
- Step 1: Run the Settings app.
- Step 2: Tap Apps, then swipe over to the All heading.
- Step 3: Scroll down until you find the name of your current launcher, then tap it.
- Step 4: Scroll down to the Clear Defaults button, then tap it.
How to Remove Application Recommendation in Infinix Launcher
- Go to your phone Homescreen.
- Hold the empty area or Home button, then select Launcher Settings.
- Head to Other settings.
- Disable Application recommendation.
- Now, check the app menu. The ads should be gone.
If you publish your app to Google Play, you should build and upload an Android App Bundle. Publishing multiple APKs is useful if you are not publishing to Google Play, but you must build, sign, and manage each APK yourself.
