When will the new Toyota LandCruiser arrive? While there was media speculation earlier in the year that the 300 Series would be revealed before the end of 2020, that now looks incredibly unlikely. Instead, the off-road wagon is likely to shown to the world next year, with an Australian launch expected in late 2021.

The Toyota LandCruiser is as good as it gets if you want to head Outback in a big and comfortable four-wheel drive wagon. Even if Outback travel is not on your to-do list, the 200 Series is surprisingly friendly in the city for a vehicle this big. Most versions seat at least seven.

All models in the LandCruiser 200 Series range are powered by a 4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 diesel engine producing 200kW of power and 650Nm of torque. It has a six-speed automatic as standard, and permanent four-wheel drive.
The Sahara retails for around $23,000 more than the VX model (WA pricing). The price difference is largely attributed to the advanced driver safety features, which are excluded on the VX. Extra features the Sahara includes are: Heated and cooling seats.

Employing hydraulics to automatically adjust stabilizer bars and lean resistance, the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System will limit body lean when you are on the highway. At standard driving speeds, KDSS allows anti-sway bars to work as normal, reducing body lean by as much as 50 percent and keeping you safe.
I'm back in a LandCruiser, this time the GXL petrol V8 version. It sounds nice, which is why a lot of people buy V8s, but how does it stack up against the diesel? Claimed fuel consumption figures of 14.5 litres/100km for the petrol versus 10.3 litres/100km for the diesel are lab numbers.
