Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece. Play before or after anything, doesn't matter. The other Resident Evil games are definitely worth playing, but not necessary to enjoy or understand Re4. If you want to play through the older games you might want to play them in this order: Re2, Re3, and then Code Veronica X.
RE4 is more action oriented game. The game isn't scary, but once again it has its moments where you will jump and randomly swear in surprise, but thats about it. and it does have a spooky atmosphere feel.
The t-Veronica virus is the main virus used in Resident Evil Code: Veronica, and is responsible for the mutation of several enemies.
Resident Evil 5 was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in March 2009 and for Microsoft Windows in September that year. The plot involves an investigation of a terrorist threat by Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance agents Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar in Kijuju, a fictional region of Africa.
Plot. In June 2017, Ethan Winters is drawn to a derelict plantation in Dulvey, Louisiana, by a message from his wife, Mia, who has been presumed dead since going missing in 2014. He finds Mia imprisoned in the basement of a seemingly abandoned house, but she becomes violent and attacks him, forcing him to kill her.
The Spanish in RE4 isn't very complicated so most people could probably understand at least some of it.
In the first chapter of Resident Evil 4, a dog can be found trapped in a bear trap. Leon S. He disappears after Leon manages to kill the El Gigante and is not seen or mentioned again in the game. The dog can be freed by shooting at the beartrap, but doing that or not helping at all will make it not help you later on.
During the course of the game, it is revealed that Ada is a former associate of the rogue National Security Advisor Derek C. Simmons who becomes dangerously obsessed with her. Added to the mix is Carla Radames, a researcher who became a clone of Ada and was created by Simmons with the C-virus.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom, released in January 2017 for Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 (for which it supports the PlayStation VR headset) and in May 2018 for the Nintendo Switch in Japan.

Rumour: Capcom Has Another Remake in the Works, Not Dino Crisis or Code Veronica X. The Resident Evil 3 remake is a rather disappointing follow-up to last year's Resident Evil 2, but it doesn't look like this train is stopping any time soon.

Resident Evil 7 is now Capcom's fifth best-selling game ever, with 5.1 million sold. Notably, that makes it the best-selling horror-focused entry in the RE series, only beaten out by the more action-packed stylings of 5 and 6, both of which have had years more time to continue picking up sales.

The game is fine on Ps4, it plays good and is really good. BUT if you already own another version, there's no real reason to buy it again. Definitely worth picking up if you enjoyed RE 1-3.
Resident Evil 4 is a 10 out of 10 and will always be a 10 out of 10. Best game ever. Wow, a RE2 remake style remake Does sound tempting, now you mention it. But it'll probably be closer to a decade before we see one of those, there's still a a few other games to remake.
Resident Evil 4 defined much of what we see in third-person gaming today, and for that reason alone is worth a play. It's still a great game, though. So, if you're itching to play it again but don't have any gaming system other than a Switch, buy it. It's still good.
