It's expected the College Football Playoff semifinalists (Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl) will be announced around 12:15 p.m. After that, the rest of the New Year's Six (Fiesta Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Peach Bowl, Orange Bowl) will be filled in about 2:30 p.m.

2021 Selection Sunday for the NCAA DI men's basketball tournament is scheduled for Sunday, March 14. The NCAA announced in early January the entire 2021 men's basketball championship will be played in Indiana, with the majority of the tournament's 67 games taking place in Indianapolis.
Selection Sunday is the day when the Selection Committee reveals the full NCAA tournament bracket, including all teams and all seeds. In 2021, Selection Sunday is on March 14.
There is no current plan to hold Selection Sunday as a way to recognize college basketball's regular season in lieu of the men's tournament, an NCAA spokesman told USA TODAY Sports.
During the 30-minute show, the field of 68 will be announced along with the first-round games and sites for the entire tournament. Conference tournaments will determine 32 automatic qualifiers for the NCAA Tournament, while the other 36 teams will be chosen by the NCAA's Selection Committee.
"The 2021 version of March Madness will be one to remember, if for no other reason than the uniqueness of the event," said Dan Gavitt, NCAA senior vice president of basketball. But the NCAA said it has nailed down its two bookend dates: Selection Sunday, when teams are placed in the bracket, is set for March 14.
The NCAA announced March 12 that the Division I men's and women's 2020 basketball tournaments, as well as all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships, were canceled because of the evolving COVID-19 public health threat.

The NCAA announced last week that there would be 37 college football bowl games, including all four New Years Six bowl games from Dec. 31 through Jan. The bowl season is set to begin on Dec. 19 with the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
