What truly caused the cancelation of Clone High was its depiction of Mahatma Gandhi. Viewers in India were so deeply offended by the depiction that they held a hunger strike at MTV India's offices. Once this was sent to MTV's head office in Viacom, it was rejected and the show was canceled.
The cult Phil Lord/Christopher Miller animated comedy is coming back in a big way. Clone High was one of the animated gems of the MTV era that sadly never got the attention of Beavis and Buttheador Daria.
