Fitting. Nike shoes, across the board, tend to be slightly smaller than competitors like Adidas or Reebok and customers' typical athletic and non-athletic shoe size. Many times Nike's shoes not only come a bit smaller in length, but also in width.
Nike is pretty well-known for running small, particularly their shoes. Unless you have narrow feet, you will almost certainly want to order a size larger. Those with particularly wide feet may need to go up 1 ½ sizes. You can access all the various sizing charts for Nike here.
Yes I agree Nike clothes run big in size. I have to get a size smaller than what I get in other brands of clothes.
Nike recommends a size, but some shoppers just like their shoes to fit a little bigger or smaller. If you order a half size smaller than Nike suggests, it remembers that preference.

Who cares about the letter or number on it? Dri Fit is Nike, they tend to have less vanity sized clothes, so a medium is probably smaller than you might expect. Dri Fit is just a type of fabric, it can fit however it's cut or however you want to wear it.

In my experience, Boy's L and XL fit about the same as Men's S and XS lengthwise, but not width. Not to be harsh or anything, but boy's L and XL are going to be more oriented to all around big children, not just tall, so they will be cut extra wide to accommodate for, well, fatter kids.

That's because to make its shoes, Nike has to create lasts for all of them. A last is a three-dimensional mold used in footwear production that gives every shoe its shape. Nike consequently knows the exact interior volume for each of its shoes, which don't all fit the same. Size isn't all that Nike Fit considers.
First there's the issue of “vanity sizing,” or the phenomenon of retailers manipulating the size on clothes. “Vanity sizing was done as a marketing tool. Now we select sizes 0 and 2 because the sizes are getting smaller and smaller and we're getting larger and larger but we're also adding at the other end.”

The scale children's shoes use is actually the same for men. In other words, a child's size size 7 is the same as a men's size 7, and equivalent to a woman's size 8 or 8½.
The synthetic leather that the upper is made of significantly contributes to the one-to-one fit of the Nike Air More Uptempo. The fit can be adjusted further by using the traditional system that is integrated in its design. For ease in putting on and taking off the shoe, it has loops on the tongue and heel.
Nikes run smaller in my opinion. I can wear the same size in both brands but the vans are noticeably bigger.

There is an approximate 1.5-size difference between men's and women's sizing. For example, a men's size 7 is roughly equivalent to a women's size 8.5. Widths, however, remain the same during conversion: if you wear a women's D width, you will also wear a men's D width.
