Procedure
- Navigate to File > Page and Print Setup and verify that the printer and printer page size selected are correct for the map to be printed.
- Verify both 'Scale maps element' and 'Use printer paper settings' [or 'Use same as printer' for ArcGIS 8.
- Click OK.
- Navigate to File > Print.
Click on 'Create a new map', you will be required to sign-in with your Gmail account. Search your location and zoom in/out as desired. Select the required size and output. Press the print button to produce an image or pdf file.
How to print a local file from your Android phone
- Open the file you'd like to print.
- Tap the menu button in the top right of your screen.
- Tap Print.
- Tap the dropdown arrow.
- Tap the Printer you'd like to print from (if multiple are available).
- Tap the Print button.
Printing From Google Maps
- Visit Google Maps on your computer. Now search for a location you want to print on the map.
- Next, zoom into the location to get a more magnified satellite image of that particular place.
- Now the print menu will load and you can simply print the map from it.
You can't print directions in Google Maps from your app directly, so you'll need to take a screenshot of the directions instead.
Open Google Earth's print option by clicking on the print icon, or file > print. Click on the print button next to save PDF. The quality of the image in the PDF is controlled by the paper size and PPI. Select your PDF printer by click on print in the toolbar (1), then click on preferences (2).
Press Ctrl + P (Windows) or ⌘ Cmd + P (macOS). A new white bar will appear above the map. Click Print.
