How to Send and Receive Money via UPI?
- Login to your bank's UPI-enabled mobile application.
- Go to UPI section.
- Click on Make Payment/Send/Pay.
- Enter the payee's Virtual Payment Address (VPA)
- Enter the amount to be transferred.

Reset your UPI PIN
- Open Google Pay .
- In the top left, tap your photo.

Yes, you can have multiple upi handles for the same bank account. Also you can use the same handle for multiple accounts. This feature is in-built into the platform. However, banks can restrict their accounts from being added to others (I know SBI used to do this in the early days of UPI).
BHIM UPI app: Bharat Interface for Money or BHIM is a payments app that lets users make simple, easy and quick transactions using Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Virtual Payment Address also referred as VPA is something like an email-ID, which is given to an individual using the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) service to send or receive money. The UPI interface gives users the privilege to send money to any bank account holder with UPI on a 24 by 7 basis, instantaneously.
Between the rest two, your usage decides which one will be more beneficial. If you use UPI for only money transactions between bank accounts, then BHIM is better suited for you. But if you want an all-in-one app that does an e-wallet and mobile banking, PhonePe is the one to choose. This is all in ou opinion.
To find your UPI ID:
- Open Google Pay .
- In the top right, tap your photo.
- Tap Bank account.
- Tap the bank account whose UPI ID you want to view.
- You will find the associated UPI ID under 'UPI IDs'.
Presently, the UPI is a free of cost fund transfer mode. The NPCI has, however, given indications that the charge for UPI transactions would fall in the range of Rs. 0.50. This is a negligible amount and won't be a problem for any user who wishes to use this service.
Login to iMobile, tap on UPI and click on 'Collect with Virtual Payment Address'. Enter details such as the VPA of the person you would like to collect from, amount and remarks. Choose the VPA you would like to credit. Choose to receive money immediately or anytime in the next 7 days.
A UPI ID is a unique identification for a bank account that can be used to send and receive funds. UPI PIN is a 4-digit personal identification number that must be entered to authorise the transfer of money via UPI.
You can add Bank with a UPI without debit card but you can't transfer money from that UPI as it will require information of you debit card. So you should have debit card of your Bank for UPI facility.
UPI apps are based on the IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) system that you might have used with your netbanking app by now, and its available 24x7, even on Sundays and holidays.
To Send money:
- Click on the SEND icon.
- Enter payee's mobile number or the Virtual Payment Address (VPA). (Click three dot menu in right top corner, if you want to send money directly to a bank account using IFSC code)
- Enter the amount and remarks to send money.
- Finally, enter the UPI-PIN and continue, That's It.
For example, suppose u have one sbi account. Then you can get a upi id for that account in GooglePay,Phonepe,Bhim Apps. These 3 upi id's are different, but account is same. U can have multiple UPI IDs in the same UPI app or u can link the same bank account in multiple apps and get multiple IDs..
How To Set Or Reset UPI Pin Using Phonepe Wallet?
- Open your Phonepe using your app password and open menu by tapping on the icon at the top right corner of the screen.
- Select the bank account for which you want to set a UPI Pin.
- Enter the ' Last six digits ' and 'Expiry date' of your Debit/ATM card.
