There are three types of tweens in Adobe Flash CS4- classic tween, shape tween, and motion tween. Each tween creates a different effect. A classic tween is used when making objects fade in and out; or move across a scene. Classic tweens are also used to change the size of an object.
In shape tweening, you draw a vector shape at one specific frame in the Timeline, and change that shape or draw another shape at another specific frame. Flash Professional then interpolates the intermediate shapes for the frames in between, creating the animation of one shape morphing into another.
Classic tweens are an older way of creating animation in Animate. These tweens are similar to the newer motion tweens, but are more complicated to create and less flexible. However, classic tweens do provide some types of control over animation that motion tweens do not.
Today most job descriptions affirm that inbetweeners are responsible for the continuity of movement between scenes in an animated production. Inbetweeners decide how animated characters will move when transitioning between major key movement scenes.
ActionScript is an object-oriented programming (OOP) language that is designed specifically for Web site animation. ActionScript makes it possible for developers to create onscreen environments (such as games, tutorials, and e-commerce applications) that can respond to user input through the keyboard or mouse.
A tween (pre-teen) is a child who's between the stages of childhood and adolescence. It's this “in-between†stage that the name “tween†is derived from. The term was first coined in the late 1980s. Children enter their tween years somewhere around ages 9 to 12 years old.
The pros for tweening are faster development time and a smaller file size, the cons are less control over your animation and more of a non-realistic look. So, we learn the more control you have over your animation, the more you sacrifice in time and file size.
The types of properties that can be tweened are:
- number.
- bool.
- CFrame.
- Rect.
- Color3.
- UDim.
- UDim2.
- Vector2.
Tweening provides a limited form of animation, in that it is not a full keyframe animation system. It allows linear interpolation between two values while modifying the interpolation time with one of several predefined function. Tweening is usually used to add little flourishes of animation to a game.
A motion tween is a feature available in Adobe Flash (formerly Macromedia Flash) that allows you to easily animate the motion of an object. Then select the number of frames in the timeline you would to use for the duration of the animation.
The important difference between motion tweening and shape tweening is that motion tweening works on groups and symbols, where shape tweening requires editable objects. You can change any of the object's properties—size, color, location—as you would in motion tweening.
When you create a motion tween, you select any frame in the tween and move the motion symbol on that frame. Unlike Classic and Shape tweens, Animate automatically builds a motion path animating the frames between the first frame and the next keyframe.
Tween behavior commonly includes sarcastic remarks, eye-rolling, backtalk, sudden outbursts, door slamming, and sullen silences.
Sometimes tweens exhibit mood swings because there is something going on in their lives that is stressful. It could be a fight with a good friend, a problem at school, or something going on at home. Be sure you allow your tween the opportunity to open up to you, should he or she have concerns.
Go into a conversation consciously choosing to connect with her and to focus on what she is saying and feeling. Try to understand her emotions, because being empathetic will make her feel more inclined to talk to you, and keep your own emotions in check.
A teenager, or teen, is someone who is between 13 and 19 years old. The word "teenager" is often associated with adolescence. Most neurologists consider the brain still developing into the persons early, or mid-20s.
2 At the same time, you may see some volatility in her emotions. Another factor that can play a role in mood swings is the stress that a typical 10-year-old may be under as she tries to deal with all the physical changes and other shifts in her life.
How Should I Discipline A Tween for Attitude Problems?
- Watch your own tone. Think about how you tend to talk when you're angry or stressed.
- Use natural consequences.
- Offer a chance for a “do-over.†Sometimes, preteens don't even realize that they're not using a great tone of voice.
- Pick your battles.
The "tween years" can be challenging for both children and their parents. Although it's not often acknowledged by the child, parents are still extremely important in the life of a young adolescent.
Short for in-betweening, the process of generating intermediate frames between two images to give the appearance that the first image evolves smoothly into the second image. Tweening is a key process in all types of animation, including computer animation.
In shape tweening, you draw a vector shape at one specific frame in the Timeline. And, change that shape or draw another shape at another specific frame. Animate then interpolates the intermediate shapes for the frames in between, creating the animation of one shape morphing into another.
Once it's a symbol, you can only tween it with motion tweening. If you want to create morphing effects—say, transforming a pumpkin into a magic coach—you must use shape tweening.
To create the classic tween, do one of the following:
- Click any frame in the tween's frame span and select Insert > Classic Tween.
- Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Macintosh) any frame in the tween's frame span and select Create Classic Tween from the context menu.
Explanation: Timeline effects cannot be applied to button symbols. Motion tweening cannot change the shape of an object.

Tweening is the process of generating in between frames i.e.developing frames between two images to create a appearance in which first image generate its replica into the second image. In other words we can say that the object automatically generate its transition from first frame to he last by just flash.
