There are two common frequency bands that all cell phone carriers use. The Cellular band commonly referred to as 1900 uses the frequencies 1850-1990. The other band is PCS which is the 800 MHz band uses frequencies in the 824-894 range.
From your smartphone's Wireless settings page, look at the names of your Wi-Fi networks.
- A 2.4 GHz network may have "24G," "2.4," or "24" appended to the end of the network name. For example: "Myhomenetwork2.4"
- A 5 GHz network may have "5G" or "5" appended to the end of the network name, for example "Myhomenetwork5"
Definition. The 5G spectrum is a range of radio frequencies in the sub-6 GHz range and the millimeter-wave frequency range that is 24.25 GHz and above.
You could use the MTL engineering mode app. The app on android can be used in checking which 4G bands your android phone supports and it worked for me. Just download and install, tap on MTK settings, band, select sim and you'd see them.

The 1800MHz band is used by EE and Three and strikes a balance between coverage and capacity (falling between the extremes of the 2.6GHz and 800MHz bands) which makes it a good 'middle-ground' for getting 4G around the country.

Free-to-air (FTA) are television (TV) and radio services broadcast in clear (unencrypted) form, allowing any person with the appropriate receiving equipment to receive the signal and view or listen to the content without requiring a subscription, other ongoing cost, or one-off fee (e.g., Pay-per-view).
Digital television (DTV) is the transmission of television audiovisual signals using digital encoding, in contrast to the earlier analog television technology which used analog signals. Modern digital television is transmitted in high definition (HDTV) with greater resolution than analog TV.
Digital television converts the picture into a stream of 0s and 1s. The primary advantage of digital broadcasting is that these binary bits recombine to reproduce an exact copy of the original material. The picture and sound received from a digital transmission are always identical to the original source.
ABS-CBN utilized UHF channel 51 Manila (695.143 MHz), later UHF Channel 43 (647.143 MHz), for test broadcasts in the DVB-T format.
The 5 Network, or simply 5 (formerly known as ABC and also known as TV5), is a Philippine free-to-air television network based in Mandaluyong City.

UHF frequencies are used for both analog and digital television broadcasts. UHF channels are typically given higher channel numbers, like the US arrangement with VHF channels 2 to 13, and UHF channels numbered 14 to 83.
Television Broadcast Frequencies
| Band | RF Channels | Frequency |
|---|
| VHF-Lo | 2 - 6 | 54 - 88 MHz |
| VHF-Hi | 7 - 13 | 174 - 216 MHz |
| UHF | 14 - 69 | 470 - 806 MHz |
So, frequency is a specific technical term having to do with the electromagnetic waves involved, while channel is a “designation” that also incorporates arbitrary decisions made - the “channel” designation is really just a name, whereas the frequency really tells you something fundamental.
Broadcast band
| Common name | Frequencies | Modulation |
|---|
| VHF high (TV) | 174–216 MHz | vestigial sideband modulation for analog video, and FM for analog audio; 8-VSB or OFDM for digital broadcast |
| UHF (TV) | 470–806 MHz | vestigial sideband modulation for analog video, and FM for analog audio; 8-VSB or OFDM for digital broadcast |
Digital cable channels typically are allocated above 552 MHz, the upper frequency of cable channel 78. (Cable channels above channel 13 are at lower frequencies than UHF broadcast channels with the same number, as seen in North American cable television frequencies.)
