SIM swapping is essentially the process of hackers activating your number onto a SIM card of their possession. This is called SIM hijacking but is also known as SIM swapping and SIM hacking. When you call your wireless carrier over the phone, the operator usually goes through a quick verification process with you.
In short, hackers can still get access to your phone. If they know your phone number, they can spoof your phone number onto a blank SIM card, which is basically the same as having your phone.
The short answer to this is yes. It's absolutely possible for someone to clone or even hack your SIM card. On top of that, installing spyware allows the hacker to collect other important information in addition to the calls and texts messages from a user's phone.
To find it, simply head into the app's Advanced Settings menu and scroll all the way to the bottom. There's now a submenu called “Manage SIM card messages,” which — at least for now — just lets you view the messages on your SIM card and delete them.

Can I find out the mobile number using the IMEI number of the device carrying that SIM card? Not technically possible . The IMEI number is independent of the phone number. The phone number is connected to the SIM serial number which can also be changed in the case a SIM is lost.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- Tap the Apps tray from any Home screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Applications.
- Tap Application manager.
- Scroll through the list of apps that display or tap MORE and select Show system apps.
- If the app is hidden, "Disabled" appears in the field with the app name.
- Tap the desired application.
Open the SIM Toolkit app on your phone. Select FLASH!. Click on Activation. Now, tap Deactivate and press OK.
Settings -> Wireless Settings -> Sim & Network Settings -> Click on a sim (SIM 1 or SIM 2, this one is dual sim) -> Scroll to the bottom of the list and click on SIM Toolkit.
Solution #2
- Turn OFF your device by long-pressing the power button.
- Remove the back cover of the the phone.
- Remove the SIM that's causing the problem.
- Use a soft cloth to gently clean the SIM card. (
- Insert the SIM into the slot after cleaning.
- Place the back cover and boot your device by long-pressing the power button.
It is located a your Apps Menu with all of your other apps. The SIM Toolkit app is the control center of the KnowRoaming SIM Sticker. The SIM Toolkit will be available in your Apps Menu.
Always, check for an unexpected peak in data usage. Device malfunctioning - If your device has started to malfunction all of a sudden, then chances are that your phone is being monitored. Flashing of a blue or red screen, automated settings, unresponsive device, etc. could be some signs that you can keep a check on.
Texts or calls not made by you: If you notice text or calls from your phone that you didn't make, your phone may be hacked. Battery draining quickly: If your phone use habits have remained the same, but your battery is draining more quickly than normal, hacking may be to blame.

A since-fixed glitch in the Android onboard Camera app, for example, would have allowed attackers to record video, steal photos and geolocation data of images, while malicious apps with access to your camera app (see below) might also allow cybercriminals to hijack your camera.

The only difference will be the name of the services you need to deactivate.
- Unlock your phone and go to the app drawer.
- Open SIM toolkit application.
- Tap on the flash SMS service.
- Click Activation.
- Select Deactivate.
- Click OK for confirmation.
Try looking in Settings -> Apps -> swipe to the right until you get to the "all" tab, and then scroll down until you see "SIM Toolkit", at which point you should be able to tap on it, force stop it and disable it.
Find Faulty Network SIMEnable Aeroplane or Flight mode and observe for some time. If Invalid Input pop-up is not coming, then problem is with your SIM. If you have double SIM Cards in your android smartphone, disable it one by one and observe. You can check this faulty SIM card with another smartphone you have.
Now, open Hide Persistent Notifications and tap on the + button in the lower-right corner then select the "No SIM card inserted" notification, then hit "Hide" on the popup. Note that the notification has to be currently visible before you'll see it in the "Select a Notification" page.
