They are going to be bouncy at a normal level because of cheap valving and terrible spring rates. Anyone that says different is prob riding on bump stops or close to it.
The ride is hard and damping not great, some people will tell you they are great and you can 'slam' your car to the ground with them however if you want to drive around like that then ride quality isn't going to be near the top of your list of must haves.
Where are coilovers made? Our ultimate guide!
| Brand | Line | Made |
|---|
| Raceland | Classic Coilovers | China |
| Raceland | Ultimo Coilovers | China |
| Raceland | Primo Coilovers | China |
| Rev9 | Street Basic Coilovers | China |
The Rev9 Hyper Basic Coilovers also come with spanner wrenches to make height adjustments easy. These coilovers give you the ability to set your ride height roughly 1″ lower than stock up to about 3″ lower. Rev9 doesn't release exact specs on these, but this has been a pretty accurate ball park.
Raceland is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) on Bayou Lafourche in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 10,193 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houma–Bayou Cane–Thibodaux Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The name Lafourche is from the French for "the fork", and alludes to the bayou's large outflow of Mississippi River water. It was formerly a Mississippi River outlet (distributary), but was dammed at Donaldsonville in 1905.
The Golden Meadow name was given by the original land grant owners, Benjamin and Louisa Hobbs Barker of Illinois. In 1839, they named it so because of the yellow flowers growing everywhere. They hoped to become wealthy selling lots to French and English settlers, but abandoned the plan.

One of the most southern of all Louisiana parishes, Terrebonne Parish was established March 22, 1822, from the southern part of Lafourche Interior, bordering upon the Gulf of Mexico. Covering an area of 2100 square miles, it is the 2nd largest parish in the state.
Lafourche HistoryLafourche Parish is one of the oldest parishes in Louisiana and is located approximately 45 miles southwest of New Orleans. It combines a rural atmosphere with modern technology. It is one of the original nineteen parishes created from the Territory of Orleans on March 31, 1807.
Heavy preloading can add over 100 pounds (45kg) of force required to start shock movement whereas optimal shock performance comes from the lowest starting force possible. Heavy preload means those smaller bumps won't even move your suspension.
You definitely need to realign your cars after coilovers installation because the installation requires a lot of tinkering on the car suspension. I recommend you go for realignment after about 3-5 days of driving – the coilovers components need to first settle in.
Preload is independent of spring free length. An 18″ long, 100 lb/in spring with 1″ of preload will give you the same ride height as a 10″ long, 100 lb/in spring with 1″ of preload. In both cases you've applied 100 lb of force before the vehicle weight collapses the spring. The result is the same amount of ride height.
my rears settled about half an inch once i drove around the block. My V2 settled down 1/8" at all 4 corners after 3 weeks. Yes my installer said it would take about 2 weeks for the springs to fully settle.
each suspension varies on how stiff of setup. bilsteins take about 2-3 weeks others may be a little faster since they may be a softer setup.
You should determine that they are the right size for your car. Also, check that you have received sets for the rear wheels and the front wheels. Installing the springs should be the first step if the coilover came with the springs separate. So, you should make sure that both springs snug together.
