QLED TVs can compete with the top brightness of NanoCell TVs, but use VAVertical Alignment, type of LCD Panel panels. This means a narrower viewing angle, but much better and deeper black. The contrast of VAVertical Alignment, type of LCD Panel panels is also higher.
The Pure Colours Provide Realistic Immersion. With its low input lag and ALLM provided via HDMI 2.1, NanoCell takes you one step closer to victory. The real-time gaming experience offered by NanoCell is complemented by pure colours.
LG NanoCell TV delivers enhanced 4K movies, sports and gaming. It raises the benchmark in LED picture quality.
Basically, Samsung QLED TVs always have a VA panel. This means that the blacks are very deep and brightness and contrast are sufficient for HDR content. However, some high-quality NanoCell TVs have additional Full Array Local Dimming to increase contrast. These properties make them very suitable for very bright rooms.
There are two reasons for the higher OLED prices. The OLED was priced so high back in 2014 because at the time it was extremely difficult to manufacture the ultra-thin set. The panels were so thin (just 0.17 inches thick) that LG could only make so many of them so it had to keep prices high and therefore demand low.
In part, that's because LED TVs are available in both 1080p HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels), while OLED is 4K only. OLED TVs also deliver picture quality that's far superior to typical LED models. Only the very best LED TVs produce a picture that comes close to OLED.

Try connecting a different device to the TV (or the same device to a different TV), maybe the other deviceis causing the issue. Try using a different HDMI cable, sometimes cables can short-out, or degrade over time.
Based on the last few years of CNET's side-by-side comparison reviews, LG's OLED TVs have all delivered better overall image quality than Samsung QLED TVs. The LG OLED won handily, with superior contrast and off-angle viewing. The Samsung was brighter but overall it didn't stand up to the OLED.
The biggest difference is the SM9000 is a direct-lit LED screen and the SM8600 is an edge-lit LED screen. To add to the above differences, the 9 has 40Watts of sound and the 8 has 20Watts.
