Invite a new user
- Click on the organisation name, select Settings, then click Users.
- Click Invite a user.
- Enter the new user's first name, last name and email address.
- Select which features you want them to access, and a user role for each feature.
- (Optional) Click Add a personal message, then enter an email message.
Collect your employee's details: name and date of birth, address and phone number, start date, salary information and pay frequency, bank account details and pension information. In the Payroll menu, select Employees. Click Add Employee, then select Add New. Enter the employee's basic information, then click Save.
Create and submit a timesheet
- In My Payroll, select the Timesheets tab.
- Click Add Timesheet.
- From the Period list, choose the pay period you want.
- Click Continue.
- Enter your timesheet information including the earnings rate, tracking category (if the option is there), and the hours you worked each day.
Sign up with Xero
- Go to the Xero sign up page (Xero website).
- Enter your details, read and agree to the Terms of Use and privacy policy, then click Get started.
- Open the activation email from Xero.
- Click Yes, it's me - let's get started.
- Create a password.
- Click Activate your account.

Adjust a processed pay period using an unscheduled pay run
- In the Payroll menu, select Pay employees.
- Remove any existing draft pay runs for the pay calendar you want to use.
- Click Add Pay Run, then in the Select a pay period field, select Unscheduled pay run.
- Select a pay calendar, financial year and the pay period.
Process a final pay for a normal termination (eg voluntary resignation or retirement).
- In the Payroll menu, select Pay employees.
- Add a new pay run, or open a draft pay run if you've already set one up.
- Click the employee's name to open their payslip.
- Click Set as Final Pay at the bottom of the payslip.
