Atlassian has a well-shaped work culture with lots of autonomy and flexibility. I think that's crucial for knowledge work. Atlassians live the company values so strongly that you regularly hear them in conversations. People really embraced them, they're not just phrases.
You learn to strengthen different work muscles and find new ones you didn't know you had! On the topic of tools/apps, I really really wish I would have used Atlassian's tools BA (Before Atlassian) life would have been so much easier. And not just work life.
The name is an ad hoc derivation from the titan Atlas in Greek mythology who had been punished to hold up the Heavens after the Greek gods had overthrown the Titans. (The usual form of the word is Atlantean.)
Fun fact: Atlassian named its product after “Gojira,†which means Godzilla in Japanese. The idea for the name came about because, before they developed the tool, Atlassian's coders used a bug-tracking software tool called Bugzilla.

Bitbucket allows users to have free private repository but with maximum of five collaborators. GitHub allows users to have free private repository but with maximum of three collaborators. Bitbucket has no feature for navigation. GitHub allows user to navigate usability.
