(Reuters) - Real Madrid unseated Manchester United as the world's most valuable soccer club, according to the annual list here published by business magazine Forbes on Wednesday.
MLS has also announced that the ownership groups of the 28th and 29th teams will each pay a $200 million entrance fee and that the ownership group of the 30th team will pay a $325 million entrance fee.
The Atlanta Constitution reported Monday that the $300 million was just for the Falcons. Forbes recently pegged the value of the Falcons at $2.6 billion, 13th among the league's 32 teams, and the value of Atlanta United at $330 million, first in the league.
During their inaugural season, Atlanta United introduced a ritual called the Golden Spike in a nod to the city's railroad history. Prior to the game, players and supporters sign a large golden railroad spike, which is then marched into the stadium by supporters and often hammered into a platform by a local VIP.

It does seem that profitability of sports franchises for their owners is more dependent on the change in value of the team from its purchase to when it is sold than how much money it actually makes through ticket sales and television deals. However some teams are able to both make a profit and increase in net worth.
Attend a paid pro try out or combine. If you don't get scouted and signed after college in the MLS draft to play pro soccer then you still have options. Most pro teams, MLS, NWSL and lower leagues, offer a paid try out you can attend. Go on a team's website and search for when their try outs are and sign up for them.
