In a new study recently released by WalletHub, Maryland ranks as the second most educated state in the country, just behind Massachusetts. This is the second year in a row that WalletHub ranked Maryland number two.
A total of 12 Maryland public high schools rank among the 500 best in the country, according to U.S. News and World Report's annual ranking. Of the 212 Maryland schools ranked by U.S. News, 40.6% were in the top 25% nationally, 17.9% were in the top 10%, and 9.9% were in the top 5%.
