1.Get Started
- Create a new PowerPoint presentation or open an existing one.
- Then go to the INSERT tab and click on SmartArt.
- Select Process on the left and pick the design of the timeline you like in the central pane.
- The timeline will be created with three elements.

Using “Normal View,” click and drag the slide you want to insert from the left-hand pane to the current slide. Once the slide is inserted, a new “Format” tab will appear.

To insert a new slide:Whenever you start a new presentation, it will contain one slide with the Title Slide layout. You can insert as many slides as you need from a variety of layouts.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
- At the bottom, touch and hold the slide you want to delete. If you want to delete multiple slides, tap them now.
- Tap More. Delete.
In the slide pane click on the slide where you would like the new slide to appear below. Click on the New Slide button located on the Home tab in the Slides group. The new slide should appear below the selected slide. If you want to add a new slide between two, select the first of the two slides and click New Slide.
In the Slide Sorter view, you see a miniature of each slide. The Slide Sorter view not only gives you a great view of your presentation as a whole, but it also lets you rearrange and hide your slides. The Slides tab also allows you to hide or display text formatting and to see whether slides are hidden.
Open PowerPoint, and select Home > New Slide. Select Slides from Outline. In the Insert Outline dialog box, find and select your Word outline and select Insert. Note: If your Word document contains no Heading 1 or Heading 2 styles, PowerPoint will create a slide for each paragraph in your content.
Align an object on the slide
- Hold down Shift , click the objects that you want to align, and then click the Shape Format tab.
- Click Align > Align to Slide.
- Click Align, and then click the alignment that you want.
Make text appear one line at a time
- On the slide, select the box that contains your text.
- Select the Animations tab, and then pick an animation, such as Appear, Fade In, or Fly In.
- Select Effect Options, and then select By Paragraph to make the paragraphs of text appear one at a time.
