Grouping and un-grouping objects
First, select the objects you want to group together (it can be as many as you like). Then, press CTRL + ALT + G to group them. Now, when you select one object all other grouped objects will be selected too. This makes them easier to move around your slide.How to add an animation: Open a presentation in Google Slides. Google Slides offers basic animations and transitions which are quite fewer in comparison with its rival PowerPoint. PowerPoint, in contrast, is an advanced software with many more features and special effects (reflections, 3D, fancy transitions) which are only available in the desktop-based version.
Google Docs is the web-based editing program that allows users to create, share and edit documents through a secure networked system. There are also offshoots called Google Sheets and Google Slides that allow users to create spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
How to convert a PowerPoint to Google Slides
- Open Google Drive.
- Select "New" in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.
- Select "Upload File."
- Select the desired PowerPoint presentation.
- After uploading, right click and select "Open with," then select "Google Slides."
- Select "File."
- Select "Save as Google Slides."
- Go to Google Drive.

Open Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides offline

You can use the Insert menu and choose Placeholder at the bottom of the menu. Alternatively, and this is how I do it, you can use the tiny arrow next to the textbox icon in the toolbar to add placeholders.
