You only have to get a 60 to pass a Pre-AP class in Plano and a 50 to pass an AP class. The expectation for Pre-AP and AP students is often a lot higher than that of on level.
The five easiest exams for self-study, in general, are AP Environmental Science, AP Human Geography, AP Psychology, AP US Government and Politics, and AP Comparative Government and Politics. A number of other exams may also be good choices depending on your situation.

Colleges like them both. Both honors and AP courses are rigorous courses that most high schools weight more heavily on your transcript. AP courses, however, culminate in the AP Exam. Good AP scores show colleges you are ready to succeed at college-level work and can even earn you college credits.

In AP classes you're taking the class to pass a test so the whole structure of the class is much more rigid and uniform. In college, professors have free reign over their class structure so the classes are usually more free form. That's not to say, however, that college classes are any easier than AP classes.
AP Science
AP Bio is slightly harder than APES, but will look stronger on your transcript if you only plan on taking one science AP. You shouldn't take AP Chemistry without first taking an introductory Chem class, as the pace of the class is too fast to absorb all of that information for the first time.They both have very low 5 rates (7.2% for Bio, 6.2% for English Lit). But on the flip side, a relatively easy exam, AP Environmental Science, has a low 5 rate of 9.4%. Furthermore, some decidedly hard exams, like Chinese, Calculus BC, and Physics C, have very high 5 rates—up to 60%+ for Chinese!

Generally, a 5 on the AP exam scale means you've passed the exam and depending on the college/university of your choice means you don't need to take the gen ed credit for that course.
