The motivation behind the gospel is God's grace alone. There is nothing in man that merits this salvation in any way. The atoning work of the cross applied to our life brings wonderful benefits-- justification, reconciliation, adoption, the baptism and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and glorification.
In the perspective of the gospel, self-denial means the end of seeking any good and righteousness in “self” to earn God's favor. It means to look to Christ as the eternal good and ultimate satisfaction. And practically, it can be manifested in various ways in life.
Jesus clearly tells us what the cost of being a disciple is: giving up everything you own. Jesus uses this parable to tell us that there is a cost to being a disciple. We must lay down our lives if we want to follow Jesus. Christianity without discipleship is always Christianity without Christ.”
Revelation 3:20 is employed to teach that Christ is knocking at the door of one's heart, and when a lost person asks Him to come inside, Jesus comes into the sinner's heart. Romans 10:9-10, 13 are employed to affirm that one must confess with his mouth, that is, say the sinner's prayer, in order to become a Christian.
Born again is a phrase used by many Protestants to describe the phenomenon of gaining faith in Jesus Christ. It is an experience when everything they have been taught as Christians becomes real, and they develop a direct and personal relationship with God.

- "For with the heart (core being) man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." ( Romans 10:10)
- "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." ( Romans 10:13)
Christians get baptized because the Bible tells them to. Baptism symbolizes new life in Christ. It shows they want to celebrate a new life in Christ and commit to Jesus publicly. Being baptized is also a way to be filled with the Holy Spirit and experience God's power.

According to Jesus, you cannot be saved or you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven unless you are born again, (John 3:3, 7). In the Bible there is the concept that we ARE saved. We ARE BEING saved; and we WILL BE saved right through the coming Day of Judgement and into Eternity.
According to the Christian Bible, Jesus' forgiveness is eternal, and anyone who accepts Jesus into their life is eligible for salvation. If you want Jesus' gift of salvation, there are a few things you have to commit to doing, like confessing your sins and asking for forgiveness.
