Job appears faithful without direct knowledge of God and without demands for special attention from God, even for a cause that all others would declare to be just. And the text gives an allusion to Job 28:28: "And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding".
God uses His word, and those who share it with others, to work in your life. In order to see God continuing to work in your life, go to church, study the Bible, and pray, and actively look for what God is saying to you, how He wants you to turn your life around, and how He promises to guide you the whole way.
So here's five ways to make sure you are doing your work as unto the Lord.
- Understand that this is God's story…not ours.
- God has a plan for you…regardless of your environment.
- Don't bring yourself down to the level of others.
- Focus on how you can bless others around you.
- Talk to God.
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat.
Where Do We Find Strength?
- Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
- Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.
- Nehemiah 8:10 Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
It is a sin to be lazy. Laziness causes people to stop growing. Being lazy is refusing to obey God and refusing to do everything for His glory. It causes people to miss out on relying on the Holy Spirit for rest even in the hardest and craziest of times.
Ecc 12:13 The man's duty: fearing God and keeping His commandments. Joe 2:28 Young and old men will have prophecies, dreams and visions. 1Co 11:3 The male's position over his wife and under Christ. Eph 5:25-33 The husband shall love his wife as Christ loves the church.
When Franklin was boy, his father would often quote to him the following proverb from Solomon: "Do you see a man skilled in his work?He will stand before kings; He will not stand before obscure men."
Laziness may reflect a lack of self-esteem, a lack of positive recognition by others, a lack of discipline stemming from low self-confidence, or a lack of interest in the activity or belief in its efficacy. Laziness may manifest as procrastination or vacillation.
Laziness may be a momentary state or an issue of character, but it is not a psychological disorder. Further, if you're concerned you might be lazy, ask yourself if you're feeling deeply sad, have disengaged from things you used to love, and are having problems with sleep, energy levels, or your ability to concentrate.
It is linked to the development of chronic health problems like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, depression, dementia and cancer. It can make us feel bad about ourselves, guilty and frustrated, appeased only with the ever alluring reward of inactivity – comfort, rest and stress-free.
Why Am I So Lazy? Laziness can be caused by a number of things, for instance, a lack of motivation, no clear direction or interests, or even a feeling of overwhelm. There is also our evolutionary trait. We are hardwired to preserve our energy and lay low.
Lazy people
always have a reason for why they can't, won't, or shouldn't do something.
1.You Have an Excuse for Everything.
- Fear of failure.
- Fear of change.
- Fear of challenging situations.
- Fear of responsibility.
- Lack of confidence.
- Lack of commitment.
There are three kinds of laziness: comfort orientation, loss of heart, and “couldn't care less.†These are three ways that we become stuck in debilitating habitual patterns. Exploring them with curiosity, however, dissolves their power.
Spiritual laziness usually creeps in those moments when we choose comfort over discipline. For instance, you keep snoozing your alarm until you barely have time to get dressed and go to work or when you find yourself procrastinating, doing your chores, any and everything but actually spending time with God.
Depression is associated with sin because people experiencing depression are seen to lack some of the spiritual fruits that are regarded as evidence of genuine Christian faith: When dealing with people in the church some see mental illness as a weakness —a sign you don't have enough faith.
What The Bible Says About Riches And Sin. The Bible never says having money and riches is sinful. There are some major ways that we can sin against God by the way we handle our riches, and misusing our money can even harm other people.
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Years ago I quoted the same message in economist Paul Zane Pilzer's bestseller, "God Wants You to Be Rich: The Theology of Economics:" "God does want each of us to be rich," says Pilzer, "in every possible way, health, love, and peace of mind, as well as material possessions.
The Biblical doctrine of usury rests primarily on three texts: Exodus 22:25; Leviticus 25:35; and Deuteronomy 23:19-20. Exodus and Leviticus prohibit loans of money or food with interest to a needy brother or sister or even a resident alien. Deuteronomy forbids taking interest from any person.

Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. Once we begin to serve money, and do anything to get more of it – it won't be long before money becomes your master.
“Money and possessions are the second most referenced topic in the Bible – money is mentioned more than 800 times – and the message is clear: Nowhere in Scripture is debt viewed in a positive way.â€
