London Dry Gins – generally work well with fresh or dehydrated lime, lemons, grapefruit, orange. Lemon/Lime – Since all gin is made with citrus and juniper, you are always safe with a citrus which not only looks fresh and colourful but also works well with most gins.
Ingredients

- 2 ounces good-quality gin Tanqueray or Sapphire.
- 4 ounces good-quality tonic water Q Tonic or Fever Tree.
- Lime wedges for garnish.
- Sprig of mint for garnish.
- Peppercorns & juniper berries for garnish.
Lime, rhubarb, or an olive work well with dry gins, while grapefruit, citrus peel, cucumber, and rose petals work with floral gins. For a savoury gin, try rosemary, thyme, or basil with a cherry tomato. ' Sure, the glass of choice in most bars is a tall, skinny one.
For a delighfully refreshing tipple, serve Hendrick's Gin over ice, top up with tonic and garnish with a slice of cucumber to fully appreciate the infusion of rose petal and cucumber in this most unusual gin. Fill a pitcher 3/4 full of cubed ice, add ingredients, stir well and garnish with 4 slices of cucumber.
Lime is a great match for Tanqueray No:10. The drink on its own is good, but the lime really is the cherry on the cake and finishes the drink nicely. Easy to drink and rather morish. Original: Works well with the two citrus fruits; the lemon adds sweet juiciness and the lime adds a crisp liveliness to the drink.
How to Mix
- Muddle lime wedges in the bottom of a mixing glass.
- Add Tanqueray.
- Fill with crushed ice and top with tonic water.
- Shake and strain into a highball glass.

Lime is perfect with traditional gins like Tanqueray, but the idea of the garnish is to bring out the botanicals. And of course, some of that is down to personal taste. You can add strawberries, blueberries or blackberries, herbs like Rosemary and other citrus fruit.
Try orange, mango, pineapple and apple juices if you have a sweet tooth, or cranberry and grapefruit if you prefer a bitter twist. Try: 50ml any dry gin with 125ml fruit juice of your choice served over ice. A splash of fruity fizz in your gin drinks will make gatherings and parties even more fun.
Pickerings Gin is a classic and favourite gin, one to be enjoyed with Fever Trees Classic Indian Tonic Water and a slice of grapefruit. Tanqueray No. 10 is perfect for making martini's but if that isn't your style then pair this with Fever Tree's Mediterranean Tonic to match all the citrus and botanicals.
How to Mix
