Imbue it only if you're going to mage/range tasks, so if you only ever melee then just get it imbue'd once you're 87 slayer (krakens). However, it is handy to have for doing boss tasks like: KBD, DK's, Aviansies (GWD).
The top three Slayer Masters are Konar, Nieve/Steve, and Duradel.
No, slayer helm only provides the 15% bonuses to monsters that are your assigned task. But the earmuffs and nosepegs still work if you don't have a task.
Upon death, the slayer helmet will now remain equipped to the player or stay in the inventory, as with other untradeable items. Previously, all components of the helmet would disappear and the black mask would appear on the ground.
The icon is not required to fight jungle horrors. It can be purchased from any Slayer Master for 900 coins but cannot be traded with other players. The Slayer Masters created these from witchwood trees, an extinct species of tree that once grew in Gielinor.
This bonus stacks with the bonus provided from wearing the Obsidian armour set (helmet, platebody, and platelegs). It also stacks with slayer helmet and Void Knight equipment.
For 1,250,000 Nightmare Zone points or 500 Soul Wars Zeal Tokens, players can imbue a black mask, making it into a black mask (i), which provides a 15% Ranged and Magic accuracy and damage boost in addition to its melee boost. Note that this causes the mask to lose all of its charges.
You need to be on task to get Slayer XP from killing things. Most of the Slayer dungeons won't even let you attack things off task. You can go to the slayer dungeon, but you get no slayer exp off task.
She looks dangerous! Chaeldar is the fourth most-advanced slayer master in RuneScape. She is found in the throne room of Zanaris, directly south of the entrance from the Lumbridge Swamp, meaning completion of the Lost City quest is required to reach her.
Worth it IMO if you have all the unlocks you need already and have spare points. For the record the day after I got my herb sack I got a kbd head and it took maybe 4-5 days playing casually to grind the points needed to make the black helm through wildy slayer. When your in a slayer grind it's super good.
As far as the fast tasks done for points, Duradel is also better. He assigns more Mithril Dragons, Black Dragons, and Dark Beasts, while also doing Steel Dragons. The tasks Duradel assigns more of are much faster than those that Nieve assigns.
Do Slayer levels affect combat level? Slayer is a separate skill that you train while doing combat, therefore it gives you no more xp than combat itself. It is useful to make money and get you good drops/training, however it might be hard to do as a pure.
You can either right click your slayer master and go for "rewards" and then "assignment" to go to the screen which lets you cancel, or you can get turael or spria to give you a new task, but getting a new task from Taverly will reset your tasks complete counter.
If you are serious about slayer, Kalphites are one of the best Cannon tasks there is. I recommend get a cannon, and off to the kalphites with cannon and Guthans (and one or two super anti pots).
A lot of the Wilderness Tasks are easy and quick, with some also working on Wilderness Bosses. But as a result, you don't get many good exp tasks and most monsters aren't that good of money. However, Wilderness Slayer lets you get Emblem drops from any task so even weak monsters with trash drops can still drop 100K~.
The Slayer helmet MUST be imbued in order to gain accuracy and damage benefits on an assigned Slayer monster. Players should wear equipment that gives the highest Magic damage bonuses, such as kodai wand, occult necklace, imbued god cape and ancestral robes.
So, to conclude, Slayer is a very profitable skill, and the real profit really starts coming after level 70 Slayer. That is why lower level Slayers seems to think I am not really making a lot of money, and that is because the most profitable ones start at level 70, with Kurasks.
Cancelling and blocking tasks
- Slayer assignments can be blocked at any slayer master for 100 slayer points; this requires the player's current assignment be the creatures they wish to block.
- Cancelling the assignment costs 30 points.
The only 3 available tasks worth extending are Dust Devils, Nechryaels and Ankous, where the extension adds around 100 more monster to your Slayer task. There are also some tasks that gain more XP per hour.
It wont affect your task streak.
If you're looking for efficiency, don't unlock either. If you go through Konar as your slayer master you can get assigned basilisks in the prison, which is the only place to get basilisk jaws to make the faceguard (they're also worth 13M).
Demonic gorillas count as monkeys and black demons during a Slayer assignment. As they are demons, they are susceptible to the effects of Silverlight, Darklight and Arclight. Demonic gorillas cannot be damaged with a Dwarf multicannon.
Just finished the grind myself the other day. While doing Konar tasks it took me like 3 days. Using cannon whenever I could definitely sped up the process dramatically so you may be able to get there in less time.
With cannon, it's about 20-30 hours, without around 60-70 hours probably.
Slayer is a skill that allows players to kill monsters that may otherwise be immune to damage. Players must visit a Slayer master, who will assign them a task to kill certain monsters based on the player's Combat level.
