To log in to your telephone:
- To log in to your telephone: At the initial screen when it prompts you for your extension, enter your extension.
- Press Enter or OK. Enter your password.
- Press Enter or OK. To log out of your telephone:
- Press Avaya Menu. Select Log Out.
- Press Log Out or OK. Press Log Out again to confirm.
How to Enable the Ringer on an Avaya Phone
- Press the "A" button to bring up the phone's settings menu.
- Press the "Features" soft key.
- Press the "Up/Down" keys to scroll the display, Highlight "Call Settings."
- Press the "Select" soft key.
- Press the "Up/Down" keys to scroll the menu to highlight "Disable Ringer."
Call ForwardingTo set the number to which your calls are to be forwarded to dial *07*N#, where N is the extension number or group. * 01 and to switch it off dial *02. * 03 and to switch it off dial *04.
Avaya 9608/9630/9650 IP phone models
- Press the button labeled either Home (9608) or Menu (9630/9650).
- Select Options & Settings and press OK.
- Select Application Settings and press OK.
- Select Personalize Labels and press OK.
- Select the label you wish to edit by pressing its corresponding button.
To deactivate Send All Calls (SAC) on a station with console permissions:
- Press a CALL APPEARANCE button to get a dial tone.
- Punch in the Send All Calls deactivation code.
- Enter the number of the extension to be deactivated.
- Listen for the confirming tone.
DS 5410/5420 and IP 5610/5620 telephones programmed to 'System Phone' now have the ability to change the date and time of the IP Office. To enable this feature, the system phone must dial *9000* then press the 'hold' button after hearing the confirmation beep. The display will now show Date and Time.
Release On- or Off-hook , Answer call Telephones with line buttons: Press the active line button or Intercom key, and lift handset. Telephones with no buttons: Lift handset. When using a headset on a Avaya 7316E Digital Deskphone or on an IP phone, press the Headset button to answer a call.
Click on the Voice Recording tab. Choose to record inbound and/or outbound calls and the percentage of those calls to record. On means that all calls will be recorded. Select Voice Recording Library from the Recording (Auto) and/or Recording (Manual) drop-down menus.
Finding the Last Caller DetailsTo find the last caller details dial 1471, a recorded announcement will read out the last number to call you, or tell you that the caller withheld their number. If the caller didn't withhold their number, you can press 3 to return the call.
Using Last Call ReturnTo hear the number of the last call received: Lift the receiver and dial *69 (or 1169 for rotary phones). Listen for the number of the last call received. Press 1 if you want to return the call.
See your call history
- Open your device's Phone app .
- Tap Recents .
- You'll see one or more of these icons next to each call in your list: Missed calls (incoming) (red) Calls you answered (incoming) (blue) Calls you made (outgoing) (green)
Dial *69. Dial "*69." This is the star code for most phone providers' call-return service. The call-return service will repeat the last number that called you, and depending on your provider, will automatically redial the number.
With the handset on the rest and the telephone free of calls:
- Press Feature * 0 (zero).
- The display will show: Key Inquiry then press a key.
- Press any intercom button.
- The display will show your extension number.
- Press any programmable button.
- The display will show the feature or number stored on that button.
To view the Call Log, select the Call Log application tab from any 4630 application screen.
Scroll to the desired
call and press SELECT. Scroll to select DIAL, DETAIL, DELETE, or SAVE.
To view your call history:

The Main Office Avaya IP Office IP406 provides business telephony service to both the main site and the home site. The Avaya 5602SW in the home registers to the IP Office over an IPSEC Virtual Private Network implemented between the Adtran NetVanta units.
Connect the Ethernet cable to the right port on the back of the telephone. 2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the Avaya power source phone jack. The phone jack on the Avaya power source is on the left side and is labeled Phone.
IP Phone Setup Guide

Changing the mailbox greeting using the Visual Voice button
- Press the Message button and select the mailbox.
- The 'Visual Voice' menu is displayed.
- Use the up and down cursor keys to select Greeting and press Select.
- Use the soft keys to listen to and record your mailbox greeting:

- Dial extension 1022.
- Enter the temporary password (7422) then press #
- Choose a new password then press #
- To save the password press #
- Follow the prompts to record your name and greeting.
Press the green "talk" button, wait for the Avaya intercom tone (1 second), then press "68" + the two digit line number. While on the call, press the green "talk" key, (which also serves as the flash key). Wait to hear the the Avaya intercom tone (1 second), then press your own Avaya 2 digit ext.
When an intercom speed dial button is pressed, a call is speed-dialed to the directory that is the other half of the dedicated pair. The called phone automatically answers the call in speaker-phone mode with mute activated, providing a one-way voice path from the initiator to the recipient.
Press [ Feature ] [0 ] [0 ] to enter program mode. Press [ Feature ], then the two-digit Dial Code (80–99) for the phone number. Enter the phone number. (An outside number can have up to 20 digits.)

Ringing at another extension: You can answer from your own phone by using Call Pick-Up; lift your handset and dial: - *30 to answer a call ringing anywhere. - *31 to answer a call within your group. - *32*201# to answer the call for a particular extension, in this example 201.
Press the “CONF” button, this will place the first party on hold and give you dial tone. Dial the number of the new party and wait for an answer. When you want to add the new person, press “CONF” again. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for additional conference parties.
Locking and unlocking your telephone
- From the Phone screen or the Features screen, press Phone Lock.
- Press Lock.
- To unlock your phone, press Unlock and enter the password you use for telephone login.
