National Institute of Technology, Warangal: This is the NIT with a reputation just like NIT Trichy. It ranks second among all the NITs. The best branches here too are CSE and ECE. Apart from that mechanical is also quite good in this college in terms of the faculty and student quality.
NIT stands for National Institute of Technology. These institutes are under the control of Central Government. Earlier, these were referred earlier as Regional Engineering Colleges (RECs) and they were under the control of the state governments.
Here are the advantages I can think of : You're at a sweet spot in terms of competition. The culture isn't as competitive as IITs but way better than local engineering campuses. You get as many opportunities to learn as you get in any IITs.
For JEE Advanced 2018, the JAB has increased the number of seats. The candidates should be among the top 2,24,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2018.

Quality of education offered
The way of education and approach is also better in IIT, but it doesn't mean that NITs are not good. Both IITs and NITs are extremely good in providing education and producing good engineers, but at the same time the top IIT colleges have an edge because of their high standard of studies.Research: The funding for IITs is higher for research papers and projects and this is the reason why IITs have a higher research contribution than NITs. Even NIT publishes numerous research papers but they are lesser than IITs. Hence the h-index of IITs is greater.
As of 2017, the total number of seats in all 31 NITs for undergraduate programs is 19,000 and for post graduate programs is 8,050. About 8,548 of these 19,000 seats of NITs are reserved for the candidates who belonged to the General category.
