Pour the muscle soak under warm water before carefully stepping into the bath. Rinses off leaving your skin feeling clean and fresh. Avoid eye contact. If eye contact occurs rinse well with warm water, if rash or irritation occurs, discontinue use.
Drinking tea can have many benefits for your skin, but tea can also be absorbed topically in your bath. Oats, honey, olive oil or baby oil can be added individually to your bath water to make your skin smooth, soft and hydrated. Add 1 cup of plain oats to the bath water as the tub is filling up. Soak for 30 minutes. The oats will not only soften and moisturize your skin but cleanse it as well.
To make a baking soda bath, add between ¼ to 2 cups of baking soda to warm bath water and stir it around to let it dissolve. Once the baking soda has completely dissolved, soak in the tub for up to 40 minutes. After the bath, pat the skin dry with a towel and use a natural oil or lotion to moisturize the skin.
Baths Are Just As Clean As ShowersIf you're just washing off from a normal day, a bath will get you just as clean as a shower. Plus, the steam from a bath can open up your pores and release the dirt.
If your bath is too hot, you're at risk of parching your skin in the long run. And finally, put aside your worries about baths being unhygienic. "The dirt tends to settle away from the skin and body. It gets diluted in the entirety of the bathwater," she says.

"10 to 20 minutes is plenty of time to get all the benefits of a bath," says Mattioli. She further explains, "Heat dilates the blood vessels and encourages sweating, blood-flow improves, and the body makes better use of its insulin." But staying in longer doesn't necessarily improve on any of these benefits.

Both experts recommend using lukewarm water—not scalding hot—for this approach, and then following up with a cold rinse. How often to wash hair only with water depends on a number of factors, including how much oil, sweat, dirt, and products are present in your hair along with your hair type.
