The 1x1 puzzle consists of six different coloured uniform faces, and uses a unique mechanism that has been described by many as “way beyond its time”. The puzzle is not solved by making turns, but rather rotating the entire puzzle to find the solved state, something that no puzzles since have been able to accomplish.
Yes, it is possible for a cube to freakishly enter an unsolvable orbit without it falling apart. Sometimes a corner can twist in place without anything actually falling apart. To fix (if you're a beginner), I would suggest disassembling the entire cube and reassembling in the solved configuration.

An ALGORITHM is a sequence of moves that you need to do in a specific order. When following the algorithms in this guide, it is important to maintain the FRONT face of your Rubik's Cube so it stays the FRONT through all of the turns. If there is a 2 next to the algorithm letter, turn the face twice.
Each of the six faces of the cube can be rotated freely, moving the smaller cubes around. The goal of a Rubik's Cube puzzle is to start with some randomized, shuffled, messy configuration of the cube and, by rotating the faces, get back to the original solved pattern with each side being a single color.
Getting help with solving the Rubik's Cube is not cheating. There are 42 Quintillion possibilities, but only one correct solution. Hence without knowing how to solve a Rubik's Cube it is nearly impossible.

Most everyone above the age of say 9 can learn to solve a Rubik's Cube. There are ways to approach the Rubik's Cube at least partially mathematically, but most speedcubing methods involve no math. Some steps are more or less intuitive, but there is very little that speedcubers invent on the spot.

I've never had a problem with stickers on my cubes but stickerless cubes are my favorites by far. Better recognition for me, love the feeling of the plastic and the look of it. I hope Gan will release one some day If you don't want to deal with stickers peeling over time, then I would suggest going with stickerless.
Magnets give a slight click at the end of every turn, making the cube more stable and making it overshoot less. Also it means you can have the cube at looser tensions so corner cutting will be better. Now that the GTS2M is not that much cheaper than a normal cube, I ordered one - it's supposed to arrive today.
It's simple really – the Speed Cube is for people who want to speed solve. If you are not interested in trying to solve the Rubik's Cube as quickly as possible and struggle matching the colors on one side of the Cube then the Rubik's Speed Cube is probably not for you.
Unfortunately Rubik's brand cubes are terrible compared to modern cubes. They do not even compare well to some of the cubes made in the 1980's. At that time they had rivets instead of screws and so could not be adjusted, pieces popped out of the cube in the middle of a solve, and the stickers barely lasted a week.
