'The Voice' finale: Cam Anthony wins Season 20, handing Blake Shelton 8th win in 10 years.
The block in The Voice permits one coach to prevent another coach from adding a contestant to their team. But, a coach finds that they've been blocked only when they decide to turn around for that contestant. If the blocked coach doesn't hit the button, then the block doesn't count.
On 10 December 2020, ITV announced the tenth series of The Voice UK would premiere on 2 January 2021. ITV also announced the blocked feature would be coming to the blind auditions, which allows for a coach to prevent another coach from getting an artist. Each coach will only receive one block.
Introduced in the ITV talent show's upcoming series, the 'Block' button allows each coach to stop one of their fellow mentors from adding a particular singer to their team – but all four of them can only use the button once.
BLOCKS: Each coach gets 1 block during the Blind Auditions. STEALS: Each coach gets 2 steals during the Battle Rounds. They get 1 additional steal during the Knockouts. SAVES: Each coach gets 1 save during the Battle Rounds and 1 save during the Knockouts.
Per Oprah Daily, Levine previously addressed why he walked away from his coaching duties on "The Voice" during a 2019 appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," revealing that he left to spend more time with his children. "I do miss it, but I also don't miss how much I had to work," he said.

When a coach hits the block button with the name of the other three coaches, the coach who hit it automatically turns around. The “blocked†coach only discovers they are blocked if they press their button. If the coach doesn't press their button, the block is still available for another audition.

Guy then confessed he blocked Jess by calling himself an 'awful person'. 'Guy,' Jess shouted at the singer. 'Sorry Jess,' he replied, sheepishly. Jess then took it in stride saying she 'forgives' him, before later complaining 'she thought they were friends' during a tense exchange.
The Voice returns for its 21st season in September with an exciting panel of coaches. Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend will all return to the red swivel chairs, where they will be joined by multi-Grammy winner Ariana Grande as they search for the next great voice.

The Voice contestant Ryan Gallagher has been removed from the competition after breaking the production's COVID-19 protocols, EW has learned. Gallagher was absent from Monday's live playoffs. At the time, host Carson Daly said the opera singer had to "exit the competition" but did not explain why.

Aside from that $100,000 cash prize at the end of it all, contestants on The Voice do receive money from the show. But they don't get paid in the same way that the coaches of the show or staff get paid. According to Newsweek, they do get a stipend, not a paycheck.
Blake Shelton quipped, "I'm ready to see you guys cry." Here's how it works: Each coach pairs up two singers on their team to duet a song of the coach's choice. The singers then battle it out and only one is dubbed a winner. Each coach has one save and one steal during this round.
