If your device encounters a certificate signed by an untrusted company, you will be alerted with a warning. Your browsers and devices may receive security updates to remove those companies from their trusted credentials list.
Delete a certificate from trusted identities
- Select Preferences > Signatures. In Identities & Trusted Certificates, and click More.
- Select the certificate, and click Remove ID.
"At least one signature has a problems"
- Click on “Signature Panel” button on the left hand side of Adobe Reader / Acrobat.
- Right click on the listed signature.

To export Public Key of Digital Signature Certificates from the e-token, do the following: Open your Internet Browser and go to Tools> Internet Options> Content Tab> Certificates> Personal, select the certificate which you want to export and then click on the export button.
Delete your digital ID
- In Acrobat, click the Edit menu and choose Preferences > Signatures. In Identities & Trusted Certificates, and click More.
- Select Digital IDs on the left, and then select the digital ID to remove.
- Click Remove ID.

Set signature verification preferences
- Open the Preferences dialog box.
- Under Categories, select Signatures.
- For Verification, click More.
- To automatically validate all signatures in a PDF when you open the document, select Verify Signatures When The Document Is Opened.
Right-click the signature field, and select Sign Document or Certify With Visible Signature. Note: You can also create an appearance using the Signature preferences: Edit > Preferences > Signatures (Windows) or Acrobat > Preferences > Signatures (Mac OS).
Steps to update Acrobat manually on WindowsLaunch Acrobat, and go to Help > Check for updates. If an update is available, you see the dialog box as shown below. Click Download. The update is downloaded in the background.
To install Adobe Reader and Acrobat updates from Adobe Updater, do the following:
- Launch Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
- Choose Help > Check for Updates.
- Follow the steps in the Updater window to download and install the latest updates.
Certified PDF is a concept that was first introduced by Enfocus in the early 2000s. A certified PDF is a PDF that ticks all the boxes on any checklist (the so-called PDF profile) provided by printers (or any other party on the receiving end).
SSL certificates have a key pair: a public and a private key. These keys work together to establish an encrypted connection. This process creates a private key and public key on your server. The CSR data file that you send to the SSL Certificate issuer (called a Certificate Authority or CA) contains the public key.
Create Root CA (Done once)

Having a certificate in the Trusted Root Certification Store for “All” intended purposes on a Windows system gives anyone that has the private key associated with the certificate the ability to completely own the system on which it is installed.
Enabling Trust for a Self-signed Certificate on Chrome
- In the Google Chrome browser go the site to which you want to connect.
- Click the gray lock to the left of the URL, and then select the Details link.
- Click the View certificate button.
- Select the Details tab and click the Copy to Files button.
- Follow the wizard to save the certificate to a local file.

The most common cause of a "certificate not trusted" error is that the certificate installation was not properly completed on the server (or servers) hosting the site. Use our SSL Certificate tester to check for this issue. In the tester, an incomplete installation shows one certificate file and a broken red chain.
Manage Trusted Root Certificates in Windows 10
- Click OK.
- Now select Local computer and click on Finish.
- Now, back in MMC, in the console tree, double-click on Certificates and then right-click on Trusted Root Certification Authorities Store.
- The Certificate Import Wizard will open.
- Follow the instructions in the wizard to complete the process.
In Chrome, go to Settings. On the Settings page, below Default browser, click Show advanced settings. Under HTTPS/SSL, click Manage certificates. In the Certificates window, on the Personal tab, you should see your Client Certificate.
How to: Installing Self-Signed CA Certificate in Windows
- Step 1: Open MMC on the machine that you are getting the warning.
- Step 2: Click on File -> Add/Remove Snap-in
- Step 3: Click on Certificates -> Add>
- Step 4: Click on User Account -> Finish.
In the MMC Console, in the console tree, expand Certificates (Local Computer) > Personal, and select the Certificates folder. In the center pane, select (highlight) the certificate(s) that you want to move (or copy). Right-click on the highlighted certificate(s) and click Cut (or Copy).
