While you can watch full seasons of many shows on Hulu, some series may only offer a few of the latest season's episodes to air. This is known as “rolling” availability and is related to streaming rights. The best way to keep up with rolling availability shows is by adding them to My Stuff.
For $5.99 a month you'll get access to Hulu's entire catalog, but you will have to watch some ads as you stream. New subscribers can receive a free 30-day trial when they sign up. You can also use Hulu to keep up with shows as they air.
Amazon Prime membership costs $99 per year (or about $8.25 per month), but also includes unlimited, free two-day shipping on many items. You also get access to the company's growing selection of streaming TV shows and movies. Cheapest option: Hulu Prime is the cheapest streaming service, though only by a smidge.
Hulu has its own original shows including the popular The Handmaid's Tale. But, generally speaking, Netflix is better for originals while Hulu offers more when it comes to network TV programming. In addition to add-ons, Hulu also offers a plan with Live TV channels, which is another thing you can't get with Netflix.
One of the easiest ways to get Hulu for free is to simply take advantage of the free trial that the company offers. The streaming service allows new subscribers, and eligible returning subscribers to get Hulu free for one month.
Hulu offers four levels of service: Basic ($5.99 per month), Premium ($11.99 per month), Basic + Live TV ($64.99 per month), and Premium + Live TV ($70.99 per month). Hulu Basic is ad-supported, while Premium is almost completely ad-free.
The current and past seasons are all available. New episodes still appear shortly after they are broadcast. Hulu's original shows are also released one episode per week, similar to broadcast TV, rather than an entire season becoming available at once like most shows on Netflix and Amazon Prime.
