The Mandalorian's season 2 finale ends with an unexpected post-credits scene in which Boba Fett and Fennec Shand return to Tatooine. They head to the palace of Jabba the Hutt, whose throne has apparently been occupied by his former majordomo Bib Fortuna, and they kill Fortuna to claim that throne for themselves.
How many episodes of the Mandalorian are there?
None other than Luke Skywalker himself, played by Mark Hamill! In hindsight, given that The Mandalorian Season 2 finale was shot a year ago, it's crazy the production was able to keep this secret cameo under wraps for so long.
But now Boba Fett himself is back in The Mandalorian season 2, played by none other than Temuera Morrison in a very brief cameo. His entire storyline in the Original Trilogy involved hunting down Han Solo for Jabba the Hutt, and he'd fit right in The Mandalorian's Bounty Hunter's Guild.

The Mandalorian's decision to separate Din Djarin and Baby Yoda is essential for the sake of Star Wars. The Mandalorian season 2 finale, "Chapter 16: The Rescue," delivered on reuniting Din and Grogu, with Mando and his allies successfully taking the Child from Moff Gideon's clutches.
Grogu (colloquially known as "Baby Yoda" among fans and the media) is a character from the Star Wars Disney+ original television series The Mandalorian.

No Baby Yoda didn't get turned to the dark side of the force, and he did not die aboard Moff Gideon's ship as Mando, with the help of Bo-Katan, Koska Reeves, Cara Dune, and Fennec Shand make their way to the Imperial vessel.
However, viewers will already be wondering why this is the only available episode to watch right now. This is because the series is not dropping all in one go as many other streaming platforms do. Instead, it will be airing weekly on Disney Plus for viewers to enjoy.
And as we've expected since the characters oh so brief appearance back in season 1, the man finally showed his face on Tatooine this week. Obviously, he's missing his armor, but that was the face of Temuera Morrison — the man who played Jango Fett in the prequels — showing up in the final shot of the premiere episode.
Mando Can Remove His Helmet When He's AloneFor practical purposes - such as washing, eating, and (apparently) maintaining a well-groomed mustache - Mando is allowed to remove his helmet when he's alone.

Grogu, known to many simply as "the Child," was a male Force-sensitive Mandalorian foundling that belonged to the same species as Jedi Grand Master Yoda and Jedi Master Yaddle.
Luckily, none of the deaths this year were any of the main characters, so fans were spared the heartache of seeing another IG-11 or Kuiil die. It's safe to say we got our heartache in different areas this season, such as the goodbye between father (Mando) and son (Grogu) for example in the finale.
That would be enough of a tease — like Chapter 5 from last season — but the person then turns around, revealing the (battered) face of none other than Temuera Morrison. Given what we knew coming into season 2, it appears that Boba Fett is, in fact, alive. Boba Fett: Back from the dead? Let's rewind for a second.
Mando was stopped on the way to the holding cell by a legion of Dark Troopers. One slipped out of the cargo bay despite Din's best attempts to keep them there, and nearly bested him in combat until he decapitated it with his Beskar spear.
Mark Hamill calls his surprise Mandalorian season 2 cameo 'the greatest gift' The Luke Skywalker actor says he'll cherish all the fan reactions to his return in The Mandalorian.
Chapter 1 sent Mando on a quest to find a bounty aged 50 years old, who turned out to be Baby Yoda himself. IG-11 explained that species age differently, so it makes sense that the decades-old Child is still, well, a child.
Luke Skywalker, played by Mark Hamill, returns in The Mandalorian season 2 finale, "Chapter 16: The Rescue," to save Grogu aka Baby Yoda and train him to be a Jedi.
The Mandalorian's debut season is said to take place five years after 1983's Return of the Jedi. This confirms that the time period is 9 ABY (after the Battle of Yavin). Based on Din's predicted birth date range, his age would come down to 36 to 38-years-old when the bounty hunter is introduced in the series.
