2006: Omar Fayed, Mohamed's youngest son, joins the Harrods board. 2010: Fayed announces he has sold Harrods to the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). It has been reported that the QIA paid £1.5 billion for the Knightsbridge store, in a deal signed in the early hours of 8 May 2010.

Mohamed Al-Fayed (/ælfa?ˈ?d/; Egyptian Arabic: ???? ???? ??? ????? ?????? [mahamad el fajed]; born Mohamed Fayed; 27 January 1929) is an Egyptian businessman.
Recognised for its celebrity-endorsed sales, food hall and signature green bags, Harrods is one of the world's largest and most famous department stores. With more than a million square feet (90,000 sq m) of space, Harrods sells luxury and everyday items across seven floors and 330 departments.
In fact, the only time the royal has been officially acknowledged as a princess is in the occupation title section of her children's birth certificates. However, if she did use the title, she would have to take her husband's name instead of her own, making her "Princess William of Wales."

On 31 August 1997, Rees-Jones was seriously injured in the crash that resulted in the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. The Princess' boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, and the driver of the car, Henri Paul, were pronounced dead at the scene; Rees-Jones was the only survivor.Diana's marriage to Charles, however, suffered due to their incompatibility and extramarital affairs. The couple separated in 1992, soon after the breakdown of their relationship became public knowledge. The details of their marital difficulties became increasingly publicised, and the marriage ended in divorce in 1996.

Engagement and preparations. On 10 February 2005, it was announced that Camilla Parker Bowles and Charles, Prince of Wales, would marry on 8 April 2005, at Windsor Castle with a civil service followed by religious prayer.
