At the end of the day, considering the new RTX 3070 is coming in with basically RTX 2080 Ti levels of performance, at only $500, you wouldn't want to spend any more than $300 on an RTX 2070 Super, if and when the deals come rolling around. And it's unlikely they'll ever appear that cheap at retail.
As Nvidia claims, the RTX 2070 Super is up to 24% faster than the RTX 2070 for the same price, with an average performance increase of 16%. This means it's probably not worth the upgrade from an RTX 2070 unless you have money to burn.
No. Depends you want higher fps stay at 1080p if you want higher resolution as well as lower cpu load move up to 1440p. I run a GTX 1080 which is close to a 2070.
It's worth noting that the GeForce RTX 2070 Super has a 9 teraflops of theoretical compute power, while the PS5 has 10.28 teraflops. The Xbox Series X comes out top with 12 teraflops. Given those numbers, the RTX 2070 Super is barely behind total power of Sony's console.
Is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 futureproof? In way yes and also in a way - no. Yes in a sense that it would be future proof enough to run AAA games at near max settings at for the next 3–4 years at 1440p and 1080p resolutions. For 4k resolution you need to move up to the 2080 or the 2080 ti.
Packing near-RTX 2080 performance and similar specs, Nvidia's GeForce RTX 2070 Super rules for solid 4K play at 60Hz and high-refresh gameplay at 1440p. It's a killer card for the money.
8 Jan 2021 - Graphics card reviewedA true powerhouse, the GeForce RTX 2070 will run even the most demanding game system requirements released today. Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 12 requirement.

Graphics card memory amount: Critical. Get a card with at least 4GB, and preferably 6GB or more for gaming at 1080p. You'll need more memory if you play with all the settings turned up or you install high-resolution texture packs. And if you're gaming at very high resolutions such as 4K, 8GB or more is ideal.
The “Ti” on NVIDIA graphics cards stands for “Titanium” and means the card is more powerful than the non-Ti version with the same model number.
Surprisingly, even when compared to the RTX 2070 Super, the 5700 XT is the superior performer, even if it's just by a 5% margin. This is a truly impressive result for AMD given how much cheaper the Radeon GPU is. The 5700 XT just manages to edge out the 2060 Super in Control while the 2070 Super is 16% faster at 1440p.
The amount of ram needed is determined by the software run on those components. As such I would assume with at RTX 2070 Super that you are planning on running newer games so I would suggest at least 16GB of RAM.

The 2070 Super has been upgraded to use the same GPU die as in the RTX 2080, and now has 2560 CUDA cores, up from 2304 in the 2070. It has a base and boost clock speed of 1605 and 1770 MHz respectively and a 215 W power draw compared to the 185 W per the original 2070. An RTX 2060 Super has also been launched.
