The game released in Japan as Super Mario Bros. 2 was a totally different game, a set of super-difficult new levels built with the original game's engine and graphics. Instead, Nintendo used Doki Doki Panic, swapping the game's characters out for the Mario cast.
Toad (Papa in Doki Doki Panic), the Princess' retainer, has the highest strength and running speed, but the worst jumping ability. With the highest strength, he can pick up and throw enemies to protect himself from nearby danger. As the fastest character, he is the best at evading Phanto.
Wii and New Super Mario Bros. U, with each one functioning much like Yoshi did in Super Mario World, but with the added ability to use the Flutter Jump and Ground Pound like in the Yoshi's Island games. Yoshi also appears in Super Mario Galaxy 2 with the Flutter Jump and Ground Pound.

Here's how to do it. First, you need to open the NES Switch Online app which you get access to when you subscribe to the service. When you open the app, scroll down on the left until you hit Play Online. The Play Online option will show any of your friends that are playing NES games currently.
GitHub user ClusterM has uploaded a new version of an app called Hakchi2 that gives the NES Classic Edition the power to return to the home screen by pressing the down and select buttons simultaneously. The mod is customizable, so you can change the shortcut to fit your preference.

Games like Super Mario Odyssey are more like finishing a book: satisfying because of the experience you've had. My problem with Super Mario Odyssey is that it's not actually satisfying to finish. It's a letdown. This is not to say it isn't worth playing; it absolutely is.

THE LEGEND of Zelda Breath of the Wild is getting a new multiplayer mod that won't be available on the Nintendo Switch, or Wii U consoles. But What is doesn't offer is a multiplayer experience on either console. And while that is likely to remain the case, emulator users on PC appear to be thinking differently.
