Westbound traffic into Wyoming has been halted in western Nebraska. The Nebraska Transportation Department says Interstate 80 is closed from Big Springs west to the state line. Wyoming authorities report that much of I-80 has been closed to travelers because of whiteout and other winter conditions.
WEST POINT, Neb. - The Nebraska Department of Transportation reported that Highway 275 was closed due to rapidly rising water on Sunday. The highway is closed from 91 & 275 Junction to West Point. Once water has receded and the roadway is deemed safe by officials, it will be reopened.
The Missouri River continues to rise and flood mostly rural land in Nebraska and Iowa, but Interstate 29 remains open near Omaha. Officials with Pottawattamie County confirm road closures along I-29 early Friday morning. But many levees remain damaged from severe flooding in the spring.

Snow in western Nebraska and westbound traffic filling up parking lots in Kearney prompted the Nebraska State Patrol to close westbound Interstate 80 from Grand Island to Wyoming after noon Thursday. Most state highways in north-central and northeast Nebraska have some closures because of flooding.

Iowa DOT officials announced Thursday evening that Iowa Highway 2 from the Missouri River bridge to I-29 in southwest Iowa is now open for traffic in a head-to-head configuration in the west bound lanes.
Flood-damaged U.S. 136, which connects Brownville to Interstate 29, opened at 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads. The opening ends more than four months of detours caused by the Missouri River flooding. Iowa 2, a key highway connecting Nebraska City with I-29, opened on Monday.
