All 'AF-S' lenses will work fine with 'D5000'. 'D5000' is NOT a full frame dslr. It is a APS-C with 1.5x crop factor (DX) . Full frame DSLR in Nikon family starts from 'D700' which has 1x crop factor (FX).
If you know what you're doing, you can do it on the D5000. The D5000 can record video and mono sound as a goof, but any camcorder gives much better moving picture and sound quality. The Nikon D5000 has relatively poor video and audio quality, and can't focus while you shoot. Just buy a camcorder if you want video.
As we all know, the Nikon D5000 (and most other DSLRs in its range) can only take mono audio during video recording, and it's very poor quality at that. Unfortunately as well, there is no input for an external microphone.

The Nikon D3400 does not have built-in WiFi. Wi-fi is known for being a battery hog. The D3400 uses BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), which uses significantly less power than traditional Bluetooth. This conserves battery life for both the camera and all connected devices.
When in manual mode on the D5000, if you scroll the scroll wheel, it changes the shutter speed. To change the aperture you have to hold down the aperture button (which is also the exposure compensation button) and scroll the scroll wheel. The settings in the viewfinder are at the bottom.
