The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are both rated IP68, meaning the devices can withstand more than one metre of fresh water for 30 minutes.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is an IP68 Rated device. IP68 rating means complete protection from dust ingress, and temporary immersion in up to 1.5 metre of freshwater for up to 30 minutes.
The S7 has a 3,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S7 Edge boasts a 3,600mAh pack. The slight upgrade in battery size should be negligible because the Edge has a larger screen, but it actually matters. In our testing, the S7 Edge regularly showcased better battery performance than the S7.
