Best answer: Amazon Echo Show devices support live TV via Alexa skills such as those from Food Network, Bloomberg, and Hulu. You can also watch live TV with the addition of a Fire TV Recast device, or directly on the Echo Show through Amazon's Silk or Mozilla's Firefox web browsers.
The browser addition means YouTube and other web content are now easily accessible through Echo Show along with 40,000 Alexa skills. YouTube doesn't singlehandedly change that equation, but it does provide the largest library of video content available and offers additional use cases for any smart display.
Amazon has just announced the latest iteration of its flagship smart display, the new Echo Show 10. The new model has a number of new changes and updates from the prior generation, but the one that matters the most is this: it moves.

Regardless, the third-generation Echo Dot is my favorite of the various smart speakers, and could only be made better with one small improvement: a battery to make it portable. It's got a 5,200-mAh battery on board that charges in three and a half hours and gives you about seven hours of portable, cable-free operation.
Amazon's Echo smart speakers are best known for the Alexa voice assistant that powers them, but they can also function like any other Bluetooth speaker to play music, podcasts and other audio programming from your smartphone, tablet and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. And the Echo Plus is quite robust for any room.

The Amazon Echo Dot is a smaller version of the original Amazon Echo smart speaker. It has a few buttons on the top which control volume, mute the speaker, and wake the device to listen for a question or command (though you don't need to touch the Dot to use it; it is designed to primarily respond to voice commands).

You can ask the smart assistant to play music, make phone calls, answer common queries and more. It's also able to carry out commands for controlling a number of the best smart home devices, but there's a catch. What differentiates the Echo from the Echo Plus is its lack of a built-in ZigBee hub.
But here, we run into the big difference between the two models: The Echo Plus has a couple of extra smart home features that the Echo 3rd-gen does not. The Echo Plus 2 has this Zigbee compatibility in what Amazon calls a “smart home hub,” so it can control a wider range of smart devices than the Echo 3.
This new Echo Dot is loud, especially when compared to its predecessor. Sitting the two side by side, a 2nd Gen Echo Dot at max volume is right around as loud as a 3rd Gen Echo Dot is at 30%. It's not just louder, too; there's a lot more character to the audio.
This original Echo Dot (3rd generation) has been modified by Proofion and is now weatherproof. Amazon's Alexa made voice assistants salon-ready in our four walls. Pool owners will love this smart and weatherproof voice assistant.
Amazon's third-generation Echo Dot ($49) looks good and sounds great. With vastly improved audio, it's now a distinctly better smart speaker than the Google Home Mini, and can replace the larger $99 Echo for less picky folks. That makes it our Editor's Choice for entry-level smart speakers.

This product does not include a Built-In Smart Home hub or a temperature sensor. Currently, stereo pairing, speaker groups, and multi-room music only support music playback over your wireless network, and do not support Bluetooth, 3.5mm AUX in, or TV/video connections.
Basically, the only difference between the two devices, other than size and cost, is sound. If you're just looking to be introduced to Alexa, you'll be fine with the Echo Dot. It has all the smarts of Alexa in a small speaker. Now, whether you want to go with the Echo Dot or Dot with Clock, that's entirely up to you.
The Echo Plus is a great smart-home hub, and a great smart speaker — but it's not yet the best in either category. That said, if you're looking to start up a smart home, or want an Alexa speaker with better audio than the other Echos can provide, the Echo Plus is well worth the $149 price tag.
Alexa is specifically the name of the virtual assistant – the disembodied voice you talk to, ask questions, and bug with song requests. Amazon's Echo is simply the name given to the physical products themselves, the speakers which house the AI Alexa. For more information see our list of Alexa compatible devices.
The Echo Dot 3rd gen saw a significant improvement in its sound quality, with a 1.6-inch speaker (larger than the previous generation's 1.1-inch speaker). The Echo Dot 4th generation still has a 1.6-inch speaker, but it's front-firing for better sound efficiency.
In general, you'll be fairly well covered with one Echo or Dot per floor. Keep in mind the one wall guideline. If your home floor plan is wider than it is long, you may need more than one Echo device for full coverage.
The Megablast is Ultimate Ears' loudest and smartest speaker yet. With Amazon's Alexa voice assistant built in, it can answer your questions as well as play all your favourite tunes. Good-looking and great-sounding, the Megablast is an absolute treat.
