COLUMBIA, S.C. — The North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh has canceled its 2020 event but across the state line in South Carolina, the state fair will happen this fall, although things will look a lot different. This year, the South Carolina State Fair will host its first-ever, free drive-through fair Oct. 20-21.

The 2020 State Fair of Texas is scheduled to run from September 25 through October 18 in historic Fair Park.
October 20-21, 2020. COLUMBIA, S.C. – July 29, 2020 — In an effort to give back to the community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the nonprofit South Carolina State Fair will host its first-ever free, Drive-Through S.C.
Gate Admission, Carnival Wristbands & Parking are all available for purchase at the Fair! Adults (13-64 yrs) $11. Youth (6-12 yrs) $8. Seniors (65+ yrs) $8.
Can I bring water? Each fairgoer is permitted to bring in one, unopened 20-ounce bottle of water (no glass, please). Throughout the Fairgrounds, you'll find water bottle refill stations, making it easy to stay hydrated while you're on the go.
There is a $10 charge for parking at the fairgrounds. Parking is $5 in the 20th Ave. & Encanto parking lot (SW corner of 19th Ave & Encanto). You can park for free at the State Capitol Building parking lot at Washington and 19th Avenue on Friday nights and after 10 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Arizona Exposition & State Fair Board said in a statement Thursday that the event would be postponed, but it's being wiped off the calendar and will not be held again until 2021, with tentative dates set that year for Oct. 7-31.
An annual fall tradition in Phoenix has been canceled due to the new coronavirus pandemic. The 2020 Arizona State Fair has been postponed to October 2021, according to the fair's website. Tentative dates for 2021 are Oct. 7-31.

Tickets will be sold at a discounted rate starting January 2 through February 5, 2020. Advanced ticket prices are $9 for adult admission, $5 for a child and $7 for seniors. Any Day Ride Armbands are $30. Season Passes are also available exclusively at Publix and include 12 days of admission and ride armbands for $85.
