On Thursday, YouTube announced that Adele has surpassed the record set by Psy's music video “Gangnam Style." Her "Hello" is now the fastest video to reach 1 billion views on the platform. The singer-songwriter reached the 1 billion milestone after just 87 days, handily beating Psy's record (158 days).
Their fans keep refreshing the page or reloading the video to boost the video's view count. These repeated views are counted by YouTube at first and then, when YouTube validates the views, it rolls off the repeated views. That is simply how it works. Yes, YouTube deletes views.

BTS have broken the record for the biggest music video debut on YouTube with new Halsey collaboration 'Boy With Luv'. They take the title less than two weeks after fellow K-pop group Blackpink achieved it with their new single, 'Kill This Love'."Boy with Luv" currently holds the record for the song with the most music show wins after the 2000s in South Korea with 21 wins.

Girl group Blackpink have now joined the boyband - which sold out their American tour last year - in achieving a similar reception. Their upcoming tour of six cities, with one stop in Canada, has sold out all 60,000 tickets for the April and May shows, with additional outings being mooted.
Blackpink has more YouTube views because of BLINKs who stream the videos, and also because of some craftiness on YG's part and expert marketing. However, the same can be said for BTS.
With 65.2 million views in 24 hours, Swift now holds YouTube's most viewed video by any female and solo artist. "ME!" is also the fastest music video to reach 100M views on Vevo (in only 79 hours) and broke the record for the most views in a single day by any artist.
